It appears TNA's run on the Fox Sports Network will end with this Friday's episode of Impact!, scheduled for 5/27 at 4 PM. Impact! is not listed for the following Friday 6/3 on Fox Sports, with the timeslot instead filled by "The World Series of Darts."

There are no listings for TNA anywhere on Fox Sports' schedule for the months of June and July, which is as far as the schedules are posted on The Fox Sports website. TNA had taped two episodes of Impact! at the last taping at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida on 5/17, so with nothing "in the can" so to speak, it appears that the company will be going dark, with the exception of their scheduled PPVs this summer.

In recent weeks, there have been a lot of rumors about the future of TNA's home on television. While no one seems to be certain for sure, the story making the rounds within TNA was that some sort of announcement would be made within the next 7-10 days about their TV situation.

I do know that conversations had been ongoing with WGN and Spike TV in recent weeks, with many inside TNA believing that WGN was the stronger of the two possibilities. There has been nothing but optimism from those I have spoken to within the company, so for their sake, hopefully that optimism won't be for naught.

That's not to say all signs have been negative for the future of the company. Last week, TNA signed both NWA champion AJ Styles and X-Division champion Christopher Daniels to new deals through 2007 and also announced plans for an August PPV event, titled Sacrifice. There are still dates listed at Universal Studios through 7/19 as well, although that could change given their TV status.

Positive or negative, PWInsider.com will have more on TNA's TV situation as it develops.

So... yeah. Hi again, all. I've decided to do this as I think it's an interesting time period in TNA before everything went to shitsville. Finding a new home for TNA in the 'backstage' backdrop seems like an intriguing starting point for me and with the roster as it's constructed, I like to think there are plenty of possibilities on the table. I'll be posting as much as I can from time to time. Not going to have any sort of limit or restraint on myself and gonna go at my own pace.

We'll get off and running soon enough.

Wishing you a lot of success on this BTB. :) My favorite time period for TNA was from the webcasts to the 2006 Bound For Glory. Then I completely lost interest after that Battle for the Gold or whatever it was called episode of Impact, haha! So it'll be interesting to see how this goes. :D

Sonjay Dutt vs. Shocker
Bobby Roode vs. James Storm

Major name returns to TNA during taping; Renowned indy talent used during tapings; Several matches announced for No Surrender

During tonight's TV tapings for the leadup to No Surrender, Diamond Dallas Page returned to TNA. Page gave Monty Brown a Diamond Cutter following his match against Roderick Strong right at the top of the tapings. Later, it would be announced that Brown would be facing DDP at the No Surrender Pay-Per-View on July 17.

Speaking of which, Strong was utilized during the tapings but just once. It would appear that he may have been brought in either to be an enhancement talent, a one-off, or perhaps a tryout match as well. Jeff Jarrett is said to be interested in Strong and has been a fan of his for a while.

Additionally, the following matches were either confirmed for No Surrender, or could happen based on what went down at the tapings. Possible but not confirmed matches have a (?) next to them:

NWA World Title Match: Raven (c) vs. Jeff Jarrett
TNA X Division Championship Match: Christopher Daniels (c) vs. Chris Sabin
America's Most Wanted vs. Team Canada (?)
Monty Brown vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Sean Waltman vs. AJ Styles (?)
Samoa Joe vs. Michael Shane
Sonjay Dutt vs. The Outlaw (?)

Due to some connectivity issues I haven't been able to comment on this sooner, but this has all the makings of a solid thread.

An AWESOME roster to work with and the backdrop of the tv issues make for some exciting reading on the side.

I hope that first Impacts still coming and good luck.
