I have been thinking about this for a while but TNA should take Impact on the road every once in a while and I am not talking take it to California and stuff like that but start out slow and oh and wait why hasn't TNA thought of this already your in Flordia there are other towns and citys in Flordia you can use to have Impact in and it would still be cheap and easy for the wrestlers. You could go to Miami, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Ft Walton, Destin, Pensacola, Tampa Bay and if that works take it to maybe Georgia or Alabama stays close to Flordia. You could also have it somewhere else in Orlando from time to time that way you could have some different crowds. Also if you want to try to have live impact how about try maybe OFN since its once a month make it a Live Impact and make OFN the Thursday after a PPV since most of the roster will still be in Orlando.

Dixie stated more than once that they would love to take Impact on the road but it is very expensive to tape a show on the road, about $500,000 a night.
Unless they know for sure they make more moeny than it costs they won't do it. London was a good choice because TNA is popular in Britain but LA for example would be a gamble.

If you go on the road and you only get 1000 fans paying for a ticket, you have like $20k income from attendence, thats barely enough to pay just Hogan & Flair. So right now it's just too expensive.

If they only rent buildings with a max capacity of 3000 (which is plenty for TNA), move to a smaller set (small sets can still look very professional, just look at NJPW's sets), and only bring in wrestlers that cost less than $800-$1000 for a show (which is more than enough for a top wrestler), its definately possible to go on the road. But when you have people like Hogan, Flair, RVD, Hardy, Anderson, Angle and Sting on your roster its just not going to happen.

This has been discussed and suggested that TNA do for a long, long time. It's nothing new. I think Dixie Carter recently said that the money they lose each time they travel for tapings prevents them from doing it more often but ultimately they want to be in a position when they can make money on the road for TV. For now they're trying to expand their fanbase in the comfort of the Impact Zone before they set off around the country. It's sensible not to rush it imo.
