when I read the the results and contestants of the Battle of Royal not involving one of these 2, I was surprised. I knew Barrett would be protected since he just came back and they have other plans for him.

But I am glad hearing they weren't involved, since I think they are made for better things.

That's what I was thinking as well, though If I had to pick between the two I could have seen Damien Sandow fitting in better with the Royale, definately with helping Sandow knock Brodus out of it, maybe even Zack Ryder theoretically. But, in the end it was Zack Ryder, conqueror of Battle Royales and jobber of all comers.

Don't worry about it, the winner of that Battle Royale was going to only job to Anthony Cesaro, though I thought they could have put in better jobbers than Drew McIntyre, there is a reason why he don't appear on RAW or Smackdown anymore.

I didn't expect them to be involved, they're IC title level, not US title level. The US title is the absolute squalors of the card. RyBack and Sandow have a future to look forward to, so they're not going to be participating in such a bottom of the barrel title picture, especially RyBack, since the nature of his character dictates that he would HAVE to win the battle royale and the title, which is too low key for what they have planned for him. Honestly, I wouldn't even be surprised if he won the Rumble.

I do think it's funny though that Tensai is so low on the totem pole that he's in the US title battle royale, yet somehow he still gets matches with Randy Orton.

Yeah, would be cool if the US Title was still at the same level as the IC, but it seems like WWE is doing the same thing that they've done with the Main Event Scene. The World Heavyweight Title is contested with lower end Main Eventers (such as Del Rio, etc - with occasional high-end ME'ers going for it; while the WWE Title is contested with higher end ME'ers - like Rock, Cena, Punk with an occasional lower end ME'er challenging for it). Now the IC Title is being contested for by higher-end mid carders, while the US Title is contested for by lower-end mid carders; obviously with some overlapping stars... I guess I see the US Title now as the same level as the old European Title (not quite as prestigous as being the IC Champion, but still a prestigous mid-card title)...

Well, as with Sandow I think they have better things in store for him. and Ryback..I guess with his current push if he was made to participate in that match..he'd be like the obvious winner.
