At the end of the day, guys like Kevin Owens are champions and should not be losing so much on TV.
They done the same with Axel, they done it to a ridiculous amount with Bad News Barrett and to an extent they done it with Cody Rhodes.
Kevin Owens is a special talent anyway so deserves to be protected a bit more. Especially now he is a champion.
There was no reason why Ziggler couldn't have taken the pin last week in the No 1 Contender match, and there was no reason that Owens and Ambrose could have brawled to the back and both been counted out if they are setting up Owens v Ambrose for the I.C Title.
It's just pure laziness and incompetent booking from the WWE as usual.

I don't agree with this personally mate, I think he is a really special talent. Great in the ring, unique look and personality, great on the mic, good character and has a connection to the crowd.
What worries me is that WWE have a track record for taking these promising young talents and turning them very mediocre (Barrett, Wyatt, Cesaro, Rusev) due to questionable booking and lazy creative ideas.
And I Totally agree that this booking strategy the WWE has for heel I.C Champions where they lose for fun on TV then remarkably win title matches on PPV needs to stop. They need to be booked strong all the time.
Imagine if Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, Randy Savage and HBK lost on TV all the time during their I.C Title runs? They wouldn't have been as highly regarded as what they are now. These guys were booked as strong heel champions and it worked in their favour and built their reputation as legends.
I'm not comparing Owens to those guys but he definitely should be given the same strong booking they recieved when they were heel IC Champions. It makes sense.

Owens was somewhat protected, if anything he was made to look worse considering Ambrose was getting his ass kicked through the entire match and got no offense in. Also, it's not like it the loss was clean after taking that knee from Seth.

Agree. The same happens to Rollins and The New Day. They get jobbed out to fuck on TV to a mental amount. Rollins especially. For someone who is the WWE Champion, the supposed "best" the WWE has to offer, he's got a shocking Win/Loss record on TV.
Time will tell how Del Rio gets on with the U.S Title until the obligatory Cena burial. But I'm thinking once Vince loses interest in him again, he'll be losing to R Truth, Ryback, DEEMON KAAYYNNE etc on Raw in non title matches for sure.

I think he'll go over Ambrose (after one or two more non-title losses on TV) then drop it to a returning Randy Orton. Just got a feeling that is how it'll go down.

Not going to lie I actually thought Owens looked good tonight and wasn't booked to look weak.

And for those of you saying Owens isn't special or will be irrelevant soon you clearly aren't keen to what's going on. And quite frankly it's unfortunate you're missing the boat on this one.

Could they not have built it just as well by having him and Ambrose both get counted out after a wild brawl that led to them being pulled apart by WWE Officials?
Then next week you could have them to a face to face mic segment and one of them lay the challenge for Survivor Series?
Then they could interfere in each others matches to get into one and others heads.
Then they could both get a big win on TV over a decent opponent to show that they are both in form going into their big Survivor Series title match?

Just a thought. And just an alternate booking strategy to match, match,match,match,match,match,match,match, PPV match, rematch....

In general I agree. Champions losing should be special and it just isn't anymore.

But tonight was not so bad. Kevin was allowed to look strong and only got taken out by a combo mistake from his teammate and Ambrose finisher. Owens is not fading away after he drops the IC title either. Not with Trips at his back.

Wtf, Owens was booked pretty damn strong at this Raw. He first destroyed Dolph Ziggler, and then during the main event he was pretty protected and strong. After weeks where he is booked as a coward who runs away from matches, it was refreshing to see him in a tag match where he was basically the biggest threat. And it's not like Reigns pinned him clean or anything, he was pinned by Ambrose and only because Rollins mistakenly kneed him in the head.

An owens ambrose feud would be awesome, but i want a heel ambrose so bad
