What's the deal? Who's even left in the US championship division now, cause everyone that was a candidate is now in a tag team?

Kofi Kingston vs Antonio Cesaro would be a great match but considering they haven't broke up that team yet, I'd like to see Cesaro vs Christian whenever he comes back.

Being a singles wrestler and being in a tag team don't need to be mutually exclusive. Tag team guys wrestle in singles matches too, and singles wrestlers end up in tag matches every other week anyway.

Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger were a team and both of them were U.S. Champion, Swagger was part of the Cena/Kane/Ryder/Eve angle, and Ziggler was in two WWE Title PPV matches. Matt and Jeff Hardy held multiple singles titles during their run as a team. Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel are a tag team, yet one or both of them is usually in a singles match every week.

I don't even see some of these teams lasting after the tournament. Santino & Ryder aren't a real team. They just team up on and off because they're both faces. And Rhodes Scholars might be just a short term thing so that a.) Kane & Bryan have "credible" opponents, and b.) to preoccupy both of them because both midcard champs are heels right now.

Most of those guys will be eliminated from tag title contention by the end of this week. Not a big deal really.

Well Cesaro is currently feuding with Santino, so i'm sure by the time that feud ends, they'll have someone next.

Who cares? The tag team division should be much more important. Glad they're focusing on that.

it used to be like this in the Attitude Era too, just for the record. People were in tag-teams and US/IC title feuds at the same time

Anyway though, its a damn tournament, they need teams for it. Only ONE actually wins and ends up going to challenge the tag-team champs, the rest are free to do anything they want in the meantime. So what exactly is the problem?

People complaining over the smallest of stuff that is totally irrelevant.

I guess you can say that's pretty much your US Title division what a joke. Christian will return and compete with Cesaro for sure.

Santino is the US division. Only when we've seen Cesaro vs Santino for the 15th time will Khali return and win the belt.

Seriously though, I'm not sure why you're complaining. There's no US title division, it's just the generic WWE midcard. And thanks to this tag tournament, many of the midcard actually have something to do.

The IC 'division' is just as pathetic. Its only made of random matches now and the champion is currently a joke. I guess they had to put Ryback ( thats if he even still has a program with Miz) to make it interesting.

Well Swagger is returning soon, potentially as Face, so... also there are a bunch of others who could create a good fight.

And this is a bad thing why?

Now they can finally expand the roster and call up several guys from NXT like Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Leo Kruger, Kassius Ohno, and even Richie Steamboat and use them for the new U.S division.

So we finally have a tournament with a bunch of wrestlers vying for a title shot, making a non-world title belt look important and desirable, and this...this is a bad thing somehow?

I think it's more of the idea that these are random wrestlers just thrown together, and not your typical tag team like The Rockers, or Demolition.

The 'division' has become so diluted to the point they're best off having one midcard title to focus on. This way they can put all their creative energies into making one compelling division.

You can clearly tell they rush to try get most/all of their champs on TV for the mere sake of it. It would be better if it was an actual focused attraction. Night of Champions would also benefit from less, but more exciting title matches.

I think WWE may be headed in the right direction though. Let's see where Cesaro goes with the US title.

No. You've got a Swiss and an Italian (Canadian) feuding over the US title. There's no US division.
