I got back to the game for the first time in three years. So bored waiting for the next AAA game...

I'm doing it on the easiest difficulty and it's definitely not the same game, I barely die anymore and I steamroll through beasts like Wyverns or Griffins in 10 seconds. But it's still a great game.

It's the other way around for me. First time, and actually second time too I've played almost every side quest. Third time I only wanted to play the story.
this is my first play through and I am doing alot of the quests and taking every quest that is on a board. I just dont feel like doing the gwent quests. Doesnt seem like that fun of a game. Change my mind?

Hating on Gwent :( :lol.

I really like that mini game, it's rather enjoyable once you get the hang of it. My only criticism of it is once you get enough high level cards it becomes too easy to win in most cases with the exception of special quests like High Stakes (which I'll be doing soon).

I'm on level 25 at the moment doing a decoction build based on fast attacks and alchemy. Right now I'm running the Ekimmara and Succubus decoctions + whatever oil is needed with Swallow (upgraded to superior) as a back up for health and it absolutely hits like a truck despite me being barely half way through the build.

I could probably run a 3rd decoction which eventually will be Ekhidna most likely for more vitality recovery but it's rather risky at the moment in terms of Toxicity. I might test it out at some stage but most likely I'll wait a little longer till doing it. The Chort and Water Hag also look rather good for the build I'm doing. Chort seems like it would be great for tougher and higher leveled beasts so definitely a consideration. Water Hag looks amazing as long as you can keep at full health but the problem is I barely ever keep at full health during fights I need the potions. That could change combined with Ekhidna but I'd have to test it to see if it works for me.

I have all my oils upgraded to superior now which is great so I can now focus on either brewing some other potions or perhaps some Greater Glyph's or Runestones for my Cat gear.

Am loving the build I've gone with though.
