I spent the morning searching around youtube and came across some old Undertaker clips. Stumbled upon something I thought was very strange for his character to do, and reserched it some more.

The Undertaker had his own talk show with Paul Bearer, they called the Funeral Parlor. Keep in mind this isn't the same Undertaker that was a promo genious towards the late 90's during his ministry reign, this was the Undertaker that didn't speak at all, only a few words at best and even that was rare, so for me to see him and Bearer having a talk show was a surprise to say the least.

Here are some clips.

What do you guys think of this talk show? did it have potential like some of the other classic talk segments the WWE have had, like the Barber? Pipers Pit? Highlight Reel? or was it just a dud, another one of WWE's crazy ideas at the time.

Feel free to discuss.

Yeah I remember that I was terrified as a kid when Hulk Hogan showed up, because I thought they would burry him alive. Which would have made me a sad little Hulkamaniac.
Also remember the Undertaker and Bearer putting beaten jobbers into black bodybags, man was I scared of these two guys during their first heel run.

The Hogan-Flair one was excellent. Reminds you how good the build the Wrestlemania 8 was going to be.

The segment with Roberts was his first face turn. Roberts was a great heel for him to work with as well.

It was entertaining, but yeah, a really bizarre concept for his character. But as the clips show, anything that gets the microphone in Paul Bearer's hands is ultimately a good idea.

Lovely nostalgia. These are some of my favorit moments in wrestling as a kid. Sure they are cartoony, and belongs in are you serious, but they worked. Anyone who doesnt get Paul Bearer today, should watch these. He is golden.

:mark:

These segments for me as a kid at the time really put over Undertaker's character (as well as Paul Bearer). I loved watching these moments as well as The Snake Pit.

Here's another promo:
