The Shield vs. Kane & The New Age Outlaws

Since being hired as Director of Operations by The Authority, the always volatile Kane has struggled at times to act in a manner befitting an impartial administrative figure. When challenged, he has often unleashed Big Red rage on any Superstars who refused to respect the rule of WWE COO Triple H & Stephanie McMahon. And now that The Shield has stopped following the company line, The Devil’s Favorite Demon will partner with The New Age Outlaws at The Showcase of the Immortals to attempt to put The Hounds of Justice in their place.

In a little more than a year’s time, the black-clad trio of Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins & United States Champion Dean Ambrose has laid waste to the likes of The Undertaker, The Rock, Daniel Bryan and Big Show. All the while, their unique brand of justice has often brought them into an unspoken alliance with The Authority along the way. However, after infighting and jealousy caused The Hounds to suffer heartbreaking defeats to The Wyatt Family, an intense “Shield Summit” on SmackDown brought Reigns, Rollins & Ambrose into a renewed unity that would spell destruction for anyone in their path — including, as it turned out, high-ranking Authority brass.

When Kane began talking down to The Shield and order them to administer beat downs to Big Show and Jerry Lawler respectively, the triumvirate refused to comply, instead turning their assault on the Director of Operations.

In response, Kane enlisted the services of the six-time Tag Team Champions, The New Age Outlaws, to help deliver a retaliatory strike to The Shield during a WWE Tag Team Title No. 1 Contenders Fatal 4-Way Match. It’s hard to ignore that Road Dogg & Billy Gunn have longstanding ties with The Authority’s Triple H, which date back to their days of running roughshod over Superstars as part of DX.

If by "interesting" you mean "shitty", then yes.

Why the fuck would anyone waste The Shield in this low caliber of a match?

The Shield have been the best thing in the WWE for a year, and their reward for all the hard work and effort is a 5 minute throw away match against 3 guys who combined are 150 years old and are each 15 years past their prime.

This is more insulting than the Mania when Jericho was saddled with the 3 legends.

Could they not have just pulled 2 heels from the battle royal and paired them with Kane?

Actually I'm excited just to see The Shield as a group at Mania. We all know the matchup should've been against the Wyatts but the WWE shot their load too early. Hopefully The Shield gets a cool Mania entrance.

This match will be a success if two things happen:

1. The Shield know they've been dealt kind of a shitty hand with the break-up abandoned and having to face Kane and the NAO is a step-down from their match against Show/Sheamus/Orton last year, so they really wanna step things up, steal the show and plan some really crazy/impressive spots.

2. New Age Outlaws plan on this being their last match so they're planning on going all out and finishing with a bang.

If both teams go into the match with that mentality then I think we'll get an enjoyable match.

As long as we see:

-Seth Rollins fly all over the place
-Roman Reigns Superman Punch and Spear the hell out of someone (or all 3 of them)
-and someone get Triple Powerbombed

I have no real problem with this match (although I still think they could've booked a better match for The Shield.)

I'm kinda intrigued to see this match. Kane had some great matches with the Shield in 2012/13 but as for the New Age Outlaws I'm not sure on how well they will compete with the Shield. Maybe the match would have been a little more interesting if Rowan and Harper teamed with Kane at Mania.

In my opinion I think that The Shield would be much better off facing the Wyatt Family again or something to do with the Wyatt Family but they should still pull off a good match

I really hope they make this match a street fight it would add some much to the card overall and add the feel this match should have. Also Kane and the NAO can't really put on that great of a wrestling match anymore. But a street fight they could handle. I would be way more excited for this match if they added a stipulation to this match

This match would be lame on a B PPV let alone WM. It makes little sense and the quality will be atrocious. I'm just hoping The Shield pulls out some crazy shit to make it halfway watchable.

And this is why they should have saved the Shield/Wyatt match for Mania, because now were stuck with this instead. It kind of does make sense though when you think about it, after the Shield turned their backs on Kane and the Authority then of course Hunter's old buddys the Outlaws would want to come in and help put them in their place.

Yes! To all of this, nothing better then seeing chaos ensue and Rollins flying all over the place with Reigns spearing and punching everyone everywhere!

Wish they were in a bigger much but what can you do really, this will be good I just hope they get significant time and is a good outing for them, favorite part of the show right now and play the bad ass bay faces to perfection.
