These are my thoughts from the Dean thread:

Well that was a rough match.

It was slow, plodding, and outside of a few bright spots, boring. Just like the crowd said.

Now I'm sure some people will use the excuse "well they were in the death slot." They were on right before the main event." And yes, had this same match happened to open the show or 4th in the show, that does make a difference.

But it's a BS excuse. You're Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. 2 cornerstones of the company. You should be able to go out there, regardless of the position on the card and deliver. And if you're on in the death slot, it just means you have deliver even more, and they didn't.

So yeah, I'm dissapointed in that. Literally the only thing wrong with this card was this match, and as a fan of both guys, that sucks. But now Dean's IC Champion. Booking and segments are one thing. Next time they get in the ring, they have to do better. Simple as that.
So yeah, those are my thoughts. To summarize, you have to be better, regardless of your spot on the card.

I think it's almost a lock Seth is winning the title at WM, tbh. And I don't see Brock losing to Braun at RR. Braun will lose again, maybe with outside interference this time to setup whoever Braun will have a match with at WM. I can't see Brock not enter WM with the title. Guess we'll see.

I had been assuming Seth would win the title at Mania but then I thought about what another Braun loss in a big match would mean. He would be totally done as a world title contender. Personally I don't picture him as anything more than a big man attraction but I could see Vince pull the trigger on him as a guy who finally wins the big one storyline.

I hope Seth doesn't go to smackdown otherwise I have no reason to watch WWE at all.
...You can't watch SD or something?

And I think Seth will be fine guys. Look at 2015 with the dick pic thing, people rumored all over the place that Seth would be punished and wouldn't be cashing in MITB. Then he cashed in and won the title interrupting the main event of Mania :lol

I think if anybody gets punished for this, it'll be Dean. He's always been the least favored Shield member, and he routinely gets fucked over at Mania anyway, so it'll be just like normal for him

Would be pretty ironic if Seth was slated to main event the upcoming WM but now isn't because of last night's match.

Vince's previous top babyface got booed out of every building as a babyface for four years straight, yet main evented all of those WMs.

Rollins himself didn't even get booed, it was the match which was a bad/boring match. And it's one bad match in a year in which he's been outstanding.

So, it'd be pretty ironic if Vince took him out of the WM main event.

(Also, Seth is like the Shawn of this generation. The few times he has a bad match, the world goes nuts on him. But when he has a routinely quality match, the haters are nowhere to be seen. Funny how that works. The perils of being held to a higher standard than everyone else, which both of these, Shawn and Seth, are). Shawn talks about it in his recent Edge and Christian podcast appearance a few weeks ago how he was held to a higher standard than everyone else. Seems like Seth is going down that road, too. Just one slipup, and you get killed for it.

If it's true then a lot of the blame can fall to Vince. What did he expect with a half assed booked feud. I know that Dean and Seth could have done better but there was no real effort put into the segments no full blown pull apart brawls and when they did it ended the same way, all I learnt from the build up was that Dean was better than Seth and was probably going to beat him. Low and behold he did.

I have a feeling that I might have got my hopes up and read too much into the rumours and Seth was never going to be facing Brock for the belt at WM :frown2:

It would be so stupid for Seth or Dean to be punished because they had a bad night and for the first time ever, had a bad match together. I mean yes, Vince could be that petty. But he really can't afford to be because he is very limited with his current roster. Raw in particular. One bad crowd reaction doesn't mean Seth isn't still the top babyface on Raw and they need to stop limiting Dean so much as a heel.

The thing to remember about our Crossfit Jesus is that even Jesus lost his shit one day. TLC was Seth's "yelling at the people in the temple" moment. One out-of-character performance that has no bearing on how he is viewed overall.

Rollins could restore his goodwill essentially immediately by having a quality match on Raw today. Ambrose might have more of an uphill battle- and he's the IC champ now.

Looking back on it, the booking is befuddling. Ambrose got the better of the feud literally every week over Seth, and then Dean wins...clean.

Okay...?

Tonight was the first time in this feud that Seth got the better of Dean. Think about that for a moment. :lmao

Anyway, hopefully they get the rematch out of the way soon. Would rather Seth win the Rumble than get his ass kicked by Ambrose AGAIN. I know he can always win the Raw EC match the following month, but I don't know. Rumble seems like the better option.

Vince probably thought Seth is going to win the Rumble and the title at WM, so it doesn't matter. People will forget it by then and he's going to get those two big wins.

Doesn't make much sense, but it's Vince. This is how he thinks.

Seth must have been sweating so much in that gas mask :lol I also love how he was basically dressed in SWAT gear too.

That shot to Corbin was NICE. As was Seth acknowledging the crowd reaction from last night.

Seth's promo backstage was nice, too. Exactly what his character needed. Obviously, it was just kayfabe and good for his face character to say it, but the entirety of that match was not 100% on him by any means. But I got why they had him say it. Short and sweet promo, as well. Good delivery, too. Fans popped for it, too at different points.

Not going to lie, I was pretty underwhelmed with Seth & Dean's match. I don't think it was on them, I just think creative fucked the match badly. Like some of us feared. It was just way too slow, and didn't really feel anything like their past encounters. It wasn't a bad match or anything, just not up to the standard of their previous chemistry. That was pretty much the theme of TLC for me. I didn't HATE anything, but the whole night felt really average. I think only the Women's TLC Match got me hyped up, it was really good. I think it's a shame they didn't have a stip, because I think the guys could produce better stuff. Seth & Dean are amazing together in Ladder matches and whatnot.

Either way, fuck the crowd. Disrespectful pricks. I know the match wasn't amazing and a bit on the slower side, but man, they pissed me off with their boring chants. That made my blood boil.

Heh, welcome to the world of being a Dean Ambrose fan :lol Dean's been getting that accusation thrown at him for years! It was probably about time for some dummy to try it on Seth too LOL.

Both of them are getting shit on for that match though. It was one meh match on one night. The worst thread was that one that said nobody liked any of their other matches though :lmao It's like why you gotta outright lie to hate on Ambrollins??? This is the first below average match they've literally ever had together.

A lot of this is just so the people that don't like Shield members (I think we all know who those people are) can hate on them and be like "hahaha I told you they were shit" One bad match does not a shit wrestler make.

I really fucking hope that the rematch between them will be excellent and they'll have to shut up lol.

I don't really have the energy or ability to care about a thread burying Rollins vs. Ambrose. They had a bad match. And on one hand, they shouldn't get a pass for having a bad match. But on the other, it's one bad match.

Like, I'm a big AJ Styles fan. I saw AJ have boring matches last year with a guy like KO last year. And I acknowledged they had bad matches. Doesn't make AJ (or KO) a bad performer. It doesn't kill their careers. They had bad nights.

No more. No less.

Yeah. The only thing that bothers me at all is that Seth is definitely getting more blame than Ambrose, when if you want to blame the talent aspect of it, both of them were nothing to write home about in that match. Rollins wasn't bringing it 100% and Dean, despite being the (new) heel, wasn't really heeling it up in the match all that much especially with the chinlocks. You can easily blame both, and that's not even counting the agent(s) and Vince's creative for the storyline and match. But whatever. It's one match.

Also, I do think the fanbase is getting tired of the Shield stuff, whether it be them on the same side or against one another, and that goes for all 3 guys. I think all of them need to feud with and interact with other members of the roster. Although, I do think a good chunk of the fanbase will always be cool with Seth/Dean on the same side with eachother because they are likable and relatable to most of the fanbase.
