Great promo from Seth tonight. They had him plant the seeds to Lesnar, too. I think he loses the IC Title at TLC, and either wins the Rumble or win the Raw EC match.

Match with Corbin was alot better than I was expecting, too. Just 6 days from PPV.

Workhorse, indeed.

Seth's opening promo tonight was great. Corbin stepped up his game as well. That promo pretty much reiterated what I already thought, that this felt like the beginning of Seth's journey to Mania. Between calling out Brock, picking a fight with authority and Corbin telling Seth he'll make his life hell on Raw after TLC. Going to be interesting where they go with Seth. He's obviously a favorite to win the rumble (which he 100% should) and there is no one else I can see, other than Seth, going against Brock this year.

I'm all for Dean taking the IC title away from Seth on Sunday. He's gotten the better of Seth every time and I don't see Sunday being any different. Could see Corbin making sure Seth loses. It does seem like the Seth and Dean feud will be short lived...for now. Which is alright and they can always pick it back up again. This whole thing seemed more of a ploy to finally turn Ambrose heel. Think them battling in the main event for the Universal title is more appealing later on.

I don't trust WWE. Seth will probably come out of this fine, but I don't trust them to treat Dean correctly during Mania season.

But Seth's Raw promo was GREAT. He's improved soooo much on the mic over the years! He was saying all the stuff the fanbase has been saying for months, especially about Brock's lazy ass. I'd been wondering how long it would be before Seth would end up getting involved in the Corbin GM stuff cos he was practically the only big face not part of it.

The match was good too, but I felt it was a bit limited cos they didn't have the overrun to go into, the end seemed a bit rushed so Seth could win and have the staredown with Dean in time before the end.

That'll be an interesting question to ask once Braun is completely healthy and what both men are doing going into Mania.

Unless WWE somehow gets Rock, which is possible, you would have to think one of these men and will be in a huge match at Mania. Last night with Roman sick and Braun hurt, it showed that they look at Seth as their anchor. Time will tell going into the Rumble and Mania if they go all the way with him.

I thought Seth Rollins might have cut his best promo as a babyface last night. It was a good way to kick off the show, and the crowd was hyped up for the opening segment too :)

Baron Corbin also did well on the mic in that same segment. He certainly did his part in that department

The TLC match was a very good main-event. I was expecting Baron Corbin to win when Heath Slater got involved near the end, but it's cool to see that Seth Rollins retained :mark:

His match against Dean Ambrose this Sunday should be a solid one :D

That promo last night is a good indication that it will be Seth vs. Brock at WM 35 for the Universal Championship. Seth brought up valid points on the problems with RAW, with Brock's lack of appearances being one of them. So that will probably be the main issue between Seth and Brock Lesnar for WM 35. I believe those two can have the first 5 star match at WM since 1997.

Even when Braun was healthy though, Vince never pulled the trigger with him. So many times over the last year or so he was set up to beat Roman or Brock and it never happened. Roman has to give up the UV title and Vince still chose Brock over Braun. So I'm not entirely convinced Braun will be that guy. Never mind the fact that Brock has essentially embarrassed Braun in every match or interaction they've had. I mean how many ways and times can Braun be built up as a threat only for the rug to be pulled out from under him every single time?

I agree that WWE has relied heavily on Seth for the last 2 years. He's considered a workhorse for a very valid reason.

Rollins/Ambrose FCW 30 Minute Iron Man Match being added to the 'Hidden Gems' section of the WWE Network tomorrow:

For those unaware, WWE.com states that the WWE Network is set to receive hidden gems for the next three days straight, starting tomorrow through Saturday. With that in mind, it’s safe to say that this first offering will be controversial. As is always the case when WWE plucks from something much more modern. This time, we’re headed to FCW on 09/18/2011 for a 30-minute Iron Man match between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. This wasn’t the first match for the pairing during their developmental stay. In fact, the future stablemates were feuding over the FCW 15 Championship during this time, but multiple time limit draws led to the Iron Man stipulation in order to settle things.

Just so that there’s no misunderstanding, yes this match is very easy to find on YouTube (in 360p quality) and it was included on the Destruction of the Shield DVD. So, this isn’t about rarity. However, it does make sense as a choice when their upcoming match at TLC is brought into consideration. Some will be happy, others won’t. Either way, it is known as one of the best matches that FCW produced during its 5-year run. Here is the official synopsis:

FCW 09/18/2011 – Building an Iron Man

The FCW 15 Championship is on the line when Seth Rollins takes on Dean Ambrose in a 30 minute Iron Man Match.

Of course, if you’re not happy with this choice you can take solace in there being two more chances to get it right. If this is new to you, then you have an Iron Man match between two future world champions to enjoy. As always, this match will be added to the Hidden Gems category of the Vault section on the WWE Network between 9 and 10 AM EST tomorrow.

Long time, no speak. :rollins

Dean & Seth having their first official match tonight since Dean's heel turn. :mark: I'm so stoked for it. The TLC card generally looks shit, but there is a couple of good matches. This & the Women's TLC Match look good. I love that they don't even need a stipulation, and they'll probably still steal the show. :Cocky Always wanted to see it with the roles reversed, and Dean playing the heel role.

If it's anything like their past encounters together, then we are in for a treat. I genuinely don't think there's a better chemistry in WWE:

(Watch for Seth's head bouncing off the announce table, always gets me :lmao)

I look forward to Seth continuing his stellar 2018, as well. :banderas

And if he gets underneath the skin of some of the geeks on here, all the better. I *love* when a geek or 2 get all worked up in a frenzy over him. Hoping it continues for awhile, tbh. It shows he's doing something right considering some of their 'opinions.'

:banderas

If they are given the time and the creative for the match is alright, they should do well.

I haven't seen Heel Ambrose vs. Face Rollins since FCW, which is where I became fans of both guys. So even if the story since the turn has had it's ups and downs, I'm still very much looking forward to this. The match ends in 1 of 3 ways:

1. Ambrose cheats to win.
2. Rollins gets a Roll Up win.
3. There's a DQ schmoz.

My hope is that Dean just wins by pin fall. And my ultimate fantasy booking would have Renee turning heel to help Dean. Don't @ me :D.

But then we go onto the Rumble where maybe Seth and Dean have one more match and if reports are true, perhaps Rollins goes onto to win the Rumble. And if I could do some more fantasy booking, make #1 and #2 in the Rumble next month Rollins and Styles. That would start the match out hot.

Well, hopefully this feud is over. If they persist on a meaningless rematch, have it be tomorrow night and rip the band-aid off as quickly as possible. There is no reason for this feud to continue. It's like every couple of months the Shield guys are either reuniting or feuding with one another. Let's move on, already.

I think it was nowhere near as good as their previous matches and people were waiting for the main event it should have been on earlier. I don't know if they were purposely slowing it down for Deans character trying to get heat

Dean winning the title kinda fell a bit flat with the crowd it was like oh right that's that over then.

Heard the match got "boring" chants which surprises me. I get it if the match wasn't good and I heard it was pretty meh. But to hear it in a Rollins/Ambrose match is surprising. But then again, PPV crowds are really confusing me with their reactions to Seth sometimes. Because on RAW and most shows, he's the most over guy on the entire roster. They get behind him in his matches. But then Iron man match with Ziggler happened and now this match, fans crap all over Seth? Maybe it's just the slow pace they don't like but it's weird. Idk.

Figured Dean would win and that's all good. He's had the advantage the entire feud. But it's obvious they had no plans for Seth and Dean to feud again, hence the all over the place storytelling and no real heat. Which is a shame because in the past these two have been so good together. But looks like it's time for them to go their separate ways.

On a positive, looks like Seth could be moving back into the main event title scene?? Hope he wins the Rumble. Although, I'm sure we'll get a bunch of negative Seth threads now because of the reaction tonight. Can't wait for those! *eye roll*

Fingers crossed, I'm hoping for a royal rumble win I just hope that they didn't take the IC title off Seth just to m give the UV title to Stroman then Drew.

I think I might stay off here for a few days avoid the expected threads haha

Sidenote, but the commentary during the match was awful. I'm not sure what is going on with Rene's commentary during this feud, but she has been a factor in shitting it up even more than it already was.

SHE IS AWFUL.

#210 ·
Renee's voice is so monotone. She has no conviction to anything she says.

Beyond that, WWE rushed Dean vs Seth, the sequel only because Reigns is sick. It was a reaction and clearly nothing more. Dean's heat on the night he turned and Seth's babyface run was the perfect set up to a great feud. But I knew when these two were sidelined the week after that the effort wasn't going to be there.

I hope this is the end and Rollins wins the Rumble. He'd be a solid winner.

The match was a perfect storm of everything going wrong and not being done right.

- Their feud was already lackluster heading into the PPV, which makes me question how you mess up a heel Dean Ambrose, but they did. The fire already wasn't there, even with the Roman involvement, it still felt like a second rate version of their original feud but with the roles reversed.

- They came off a great Bryan/AJ match.

- They worked exactly the same, slower paced match similar to how AJ/Bryan started, but they never did anything different or even unique. Both of them wrestled what felt like a Raw match using their typical moveset.

- There was little to no fire throughout what was supposed to feel like a blood feud of sorts, or the beginning to one.

- Seth's selling of the knee, while okay at points, is really an overdone trope at this point.

- The fans expected something way more violent and crazy given how the feud was built up, albeit poorly, and the match they got was nowhere near what it should have been.

As a standalone match it was merely fine, but I imagine both of them have to know that given everything around it, that match felt like a dud even if it wasn't. I don't know where they go from here, but maybe its best they just put an early stop to this feud while it's cold. Unless they can book it better and get Dean more hated, or actually give it some sort of life to make it feel like they really hate one another, it isn't going to work.
