So I've seen the idea being floated around that Brock is going to interfere on Sunday because of the Saudi show. What do you guys think about this?

I'll be pissed if they cut AJ/Seth short. Now that the match is happening, I just want it to really happen, I don't want a short preview and then Brock comes in and fucks shit up. I don't think they'll get a better build in current WWE than right now, as they never build long-term things great.

The Triple Threat does sound fine on paper with Seth/AJ/Brock but it ruins this match to book it, and it's a Saudi show where the matches usually go shorter than expected, shit crowd and I'm not in any rush to see Brock back in the Title scene again.

You know, this entire time, I've felt that it's too small of a show to give away Rollins/Styles on a show like MITB, and especially during a time in which the product is very much struggling thanks to Vince. Maybe this is their way out of it, and saving the match for SummerSlam, or even WM. The false advertising aspect of it would suck for us, but I really do think this match deserves to have it's first match at a show like SummerSlam, Royal Rumble, or WM. So, while part of me would obviously hate the false advertising aspect of it for sure, part of me would be happy about it. But at the same time, it can piss off fans. So, I don't know. This company makes things so difficult at times when they don't have to be.

To be fair, they also did the huge Shield triple threat match at Battleground lol, a B PPV, so they could do any match, anywhere, anytime.

I'm only saying this cos I'm hoping Brock doesn't show up cos fuck him, we don't need his ass in the title scene when Seth is just getting going on his reign.

Man, this match is alot better than I remember it being. Definitely worth a rewatch.
I love this match. That had the first Shield reunion style moment since they'd split up so everybody went nuts for it :lol Fun match, but Randy seemed a bit out of place with Seth, Mox and Roman though haha. He was basically there to take a triple powerbomb and eat the pin, LOL.

Yeah. Not to mention, there was one stretch of the match where Orton was on the outside and not contributing to the match for what felt like forever. I know part of the formula in WWE triple threat of 4way matches is for basically each guy to lay on the outside for awhile, but this one in particular for Orton felt longer than usual.

The moment where the Shield guys did the triple powerbomb was cool. The crowd popped for that big time. And then Seth stands in the middle and puts his arms around Dean and Reigns like he didn't turn on them or something. :lol

I'll tell ya, I haven't been one of those people that have been yearning for Seth to turn heel again like some have. But after watching this match and his first title defense in 2015 on PPV last month also on the date of the anniversary of that match (I'm a date mark), I'm starting to want Seth to turn heel again and am starting to miss heel Seth. I know it's not happening anytime soon. But after watching these two matches these last two months, heel Seth started to pull at my heart-strings alittle bit since last month to now. And it's the first time I've started to want heel Seth since he turned face, so the first time in 3 years, which is really saying something. There's no doubt he's turning heel again at some point in the future. I just hope it's somewhat sooner rather than later.

LOL well as long as they don't fuck it up like they did to Mox :lol

And I'd like to see heel Seth on his own without any Authority or authority figure looming over him. That was what ruined his heel run for me slightly, the constant Triple H, Stephanie, Kane, J&J Security etc getting in the way.

And yeah that moment in the fatal 4 way after the powerbomb still makes me laugh to this day :lmao Seth's face when he puts his arms around Mox & Roman, then their expressions just change and he shits himself LOL :D

All dat heat on Brock though :vince

I definitely was surprised to see this match taking place at Money in the Bank, but at the same time MITB has had a history of some pretty big matches if you think about it. I mean it was the place where Punk won the WWE Championship from Cena & left with it. That could have been at SummerSlam or WrestleMania as well. I think it has a better history than most B-PPV's for big moments.

I guess I just get tired of the false advertising after a bit. This is one of the only matches I've seen people happy about online, and it would drag the show down if Brock cut it short. That's just how I feel anyways. I won't be too angry if Brock comes in, because with the Saudi show looming, it'd make sense Vince would do something like that. Nothing surprises me with him anymore.

Great point about the Punk/Cena match. Completely forgot that that took place at MITB, and obviously that was a huge match/storyline. And yes, MITB is definitely the biggest of the B-PPVs. Only PPVs bigger than it these days for sure is WM, SummerSlam, and the Rumble. I think MITB is even bigger than Survivor Series these days for the most part. Yeah, we get the Raw/SD championship matches. But in those matches, nothing is actually up for grabs. At least with MITB, the briefcases are at stake. So, yeah, great points.

Yep, the false advertising is annoying as hell these days, especially since it seems to happen more often these days. It is tiresome, I agree. I'm kinda split on what they will do and what they should do. It's a shame Vince books himself into corners so frequently these days. The same thing they bashed WCW for so much right after they went out of business; i.e. booking short-term and not for the future, Vince does these days in spades. Changing Raw and SD scripts right before they go on air just like what happened with Bischoff and others with Nitro in WCW. I don't know how you can make fun of someone for so many years straight for doing something stupid, and then all of a sudden start to do the same damn thing yourself for years straight yourself. It's ridiculous. The next best day this company will experience is when Vince McMahon is no longer in charge, sadly. Hopefully, that day comes sooner rather than later for our sake and the wrestlers' sake. And hell, even FOX and NBCU/USA Network's sake, too.

Warning veryyyy long post and it's not a positive one , sorry for the negativity, but after being blown away by Rollins' performance and character work in the house show I went to, I need to rant about the shitty version of him they give us on TV.

Thing is , they dont need to turn him heel, just don't restrain him.and make him edgy. Vince needs to understand that his style of writing the babyface doesnt work. It's not working for seth , it's not working for AJ, it hurts to say but they bore me.
Last year seth was so cool, he was like a comic book character , with all his great matches and his attitude in everything. And I was like , damn just the way he enters the ring screams charisma. AJ in 2016 was basically also a super hero like character he was so surreal like they just took him straight out of a comics but less edgy than Rollins.
Now the characters they are playing are just flat...nothing...Nada!
You see when I see the pictures with seth and lita/trish I am like, look how they fit here!? Do something make him edgy, bring back the laugh of seth Rollins, pleaseeee give him some freedom on the microphone! He is GOOD when he just talks without any restraint. Let him work on his character himself here and there,
Like the guy's finisher is him stomping the fucking head of his opponent and I am supposed to believe he is some crowd pandering babyface that cuts promos all the time? The dude that assaulted drew with a chair and destroyed him like he is a freak? The guy that low blowed the heel out of Lesnar and beat his ass with 3 curbstomp, I am supposed to stand there and watch him do boring promo so he can throw "burn it down" in it ?

I have been to house shows before , I was in the house show in France, the character they are making seth play on TV is a tragedy! The guy is a charisma monster! On the house show he was like some kind bold of electricity jumping everywhere , mocking his opponent , running to the fans to do high five before doing a move because he is the fucking beast slayer , he is cocky arrogant and issnt scared of anyone! He was doing the suck it dx thing before hitting a wonderfull frogslpash and everyone went absolutely nut.
Why in the FUCKING sky cant they have this guy go all that on TV? It's not offensive, it is pg but it makes him look like a star! Idk is great in the ring , looks good ! Throw lita and trish as his managers/valet for the big matches , how fucking cool would that be? I am sure they would love it anyway! Make him have that damn edge! And then you make him beat Lesnar AGAIN and have the commentators reminds everyone every single second, here is the only guy to beat Lesnar twice! Or it wont have ANY impact! He doesnt feel more like a star after beating Lesnar! He is losing to FUCKING Corbin! On free TV....

Like the product is so stale it's not even funny, there is no idea nothing , nothing to make me stick to it. They are barely advertising a styles vs Rollins, why? Why on earth?! Why arent they giving him the big push they gave Roman with actual huge storylines revolving around him?
They barely promoted his match with Lesnar, they are doing the same with his match with styles! He feels like an afterthought not a star instead of doing everything to build rlins as the biggest deal they are preoccupied about over exposing Roman on both shows with the wild card crap, giving us a shitty rivalry with Elias and humiliating the revival on TV.
That's my rant, Rollins is the champion and I still dont care about the product. Vince needs to fucking go! I cant stand his stupid bland tasteless take on wrestling anymore , and his conception of seth Rollins SUCKS! give the kid's booking to Paul Heyman!

Barring any shenanigans, I'm really looking forward to this match tonight. For the first time in the Title's history, I genuinely feel excited for a Universal Title match. I haven't felt this way since the Title's inception and we had Balor & Seth fighting over it. It's been so long since we had a storyline/feud that felt like it was actually for the fans over this title. It's about damn time.

Hopefully the event is a fun time, I could see this match and the Men's MITB match being good, but I'm worried about everything else. I do agree there should have been more hype around a match of this calibre, but it's happening now so I'm going to make the most of it. I feel like I'm a lot more stoked after waking up today and realising it's taking place tonight.

It's kind of surreal to see this picture for me still. They've been kept away from each other for so long, and when you've been asking for something for so long, you kind of don't believe it when it happens. That is sort of what I'm experiencing.

@The Fourth Wall if this match goes wrong I will blame you for jinxing this again.

I'm expecting them to main event. And I'm expecting a good match. Time will tell if they can have a transcendent great match. Seth is either gonna win straight up or Brock is going to come in and fuck them both up before the match ends, leading to a 3 Way in Saudi Arabia.

How dare you :armfold

I was optimistic until I came on here and everyone kept reminding me Brock exists, now I'm cautiously optimistic. :lol

I'm more excited than anybody for this match. It's just I've spent so long imagining it up in my head, I just want to watch it.

Hopefully, Seth Rollins vs AJ Styles ends up being good and that their match delivers tonight :D

This has the potential to be a MOTY contender :mark:

If Brock Lesnar shows up to earn himself a Universal title opportunity, then I hope it's either tomorrow night, or tonight but AFTER the main-event ends

Oh yea, there is a good chance that the crowd is going to be hot for Rollins and Styles :drose

It's a dream match that many wrestling fans have been waiting for YEARS now, so hopefully this main-event delivers to make the long wait worth it :mark:

There's also the Men's MITB Ladder match too! It's going to have the likes of Sami Zayn, Ali, Ricochet, Finn Balor, and Randy Orton in it together :trips8

Drew McIntyre and Baron Corbin being there so they can add to the destruction could be fun too :)

There's also potential solid matches in Kofi Kingston vs Kevin Owens, Becky Lynch vs Charlotte Flair, Daniel Bryan/Rowan vs Usos, and Tony Nese vs Ariya Daivari too :D

For sure. The card looks good to me, I'm not sure why people are so down on it. I do agree the build-up could be a lot better, but I enjoyed WrestleMania 35 and I think I'll enjoy this as well. I think the Men's MITB is one of the most stacked ones in years. I literally think the talent they have in there is almost perfect.

Maybe it's because I'm more laid back and don't get as involved as some Wrestling fans do anymore, that I just be realistic with the shows and go in with a little optimism. It's highly rare for me not to enjoy anything on a PPV, there's always something I'll find to be happy about.

That fucking match.

:trips8

Definitely felt different than your typical WWE match. First match they've had since 2006 when Seth was literally 19 years old. But watching this match you'd think they've feuded before and had multiple one on one's against eachother, but nope. I can't wait until we get more from these two. Still think AJ is turning heel, too. Just a matter of when, IMO.
