Look a this tweet Seth's wrestling school/shirt company put out just now: A "Master of the Universe" T-Shirt that literally just got released to the public. Obviously, Seth knew for awhile he was going over. Probably told him before the Rumble. I fucking knew it all along. This wasn't even something they were debating on during the build. Knew it.

Seriously, what was the point of booking the match that way? I'm trying to think of a reason why and I'm coming up empty, unless Brock decided to be a dick and didn't feel like putting in any effort, or Seth was still injured but Vince still wanted Rollins to win.

Not at all. It was in the vein of the Brock/Goldberg WM match a couple of years ago.
I guess that means this rivalry isn't over and that they'll either have a more competitive match down the line, or Lesnar will simply destroy Rollins down the line.

I very much doubt it.

I'm just coming out empty when I try to figure out why the match was booked like that. Subjective preferences aside, I just can't figure it out :draper2
You're thinking too much. Brock jumped Seth before the match even started and beat his ass for 5 mins before the bell rang and all Seth did to 'cheat' was use just ONE low blow, did his finisher 3 times and he won.

And you're complaining? Holy cow.

I'm not complaining about the outcome. I'm actually stoked as hell about the outcome. I'm just kind of annoyed because these two guys are capable of having a fantastic match and it just never came to fruition. At least stretch it out a bit more once the bell rings.

So happy to see that Seth won. He really deserves it after all the work he's put in the last year. Congrats Seth! Just enjoy the moment y'all.

:lol at the one guy in the front row who was actually mad Brock got pinned.

An unorthodox way to start Mania, but Seth is actually very good at opening PPVs.

Sorry about saying you're complaining. The thing is, Brock has been booked like an undestrucible force for years now, and the only thing Seth had to 'cheat' with was one low blow. I'm happy about that.

The longer match thing seems good on paper, but let's be honest. Alot of WWE's longer matches these days turn out to be shit-fests with the finisher spam and numerous false finishes. I'm actually okay with this type of match instead. It was exciting as hell and my heart was beating through my chest the entire time. So, that's a success in my book but I get your gripe.

It's all good.

Just scouring Twitter, it seems Lesnar may have already bolted from the building. It's possible that this was just sort of a "fuck you" to Lesnar from the company cuz they knew he was leaving or something?

I dunno. Whatever. SETH IS CHAMPION!!

I don't know. There's also a rumor going around that Brock is going to challenge the winner of Kofi/Bryan and face that winner tonight because FOX wants Brock on SD later this year. Who knows.

This forum has sort of skewed my view of things as well. Outside of WF most people seem to be pretty thrilled about how it went down. But you go to the main 'Mania thread and it's the worst thing to ever happen.

This placed is ruining wrestling for me :lol

Brock played dirty by beating on Rollins pre-match.

Rollins played dirty by lowblowing Lesnar while the ref wasn't looking.

The match was dirty straight outta the gate so I can't see why people are gonna complain about how Seth won.

As for the match length, I'm fine with it because not every championship match has to be a 20 minute plus encounter.
