Brock played dirty by beating on Rollins pre-match.

Rollins played dirty by lowblowing Lesnar while the ref wasn't looking.

The match was dirty straight outta the gate so I can't see why people are gonna complain about how Seth won.

As for the match length, I'm fine with it because not every championship match has to be a 20 minute plus encounter.

 

Can they now give him an honorable run? At least? Because the 50/50 booking is too painful to watch.
Anyway congrats to seth and I wish him good, I know he will prove why he is the best and actually he proves he totally deserves it. I have faith he will do what he did with the IC title and prove he is the greatest.
I was also very happy with his huge pop, people womt care they love rolling so whatever how he wins they will support him.
It would have been so much better without the lowblow tho, like Rollins give an unexpected kick to brock followed by 3 curbstomp and call it a day.

yeah I actually like him being non conventional but here it's like they went out of their way to make him look bad. Like I would not even be mad if it was a very good classic ( like it should have been) and then after pushing Lesnar to his limits seth had to do this. But here they made it look underwhelming.
But well knowing seth he is starting an actual open challenge soon and is showing why he is the best. Bust still this booking is so bad....

Well if he and Becky are a couple, then they'll have one Hell of a "victory celebration" later on probably.

 

I'm happy for Seth for becoming our new Universal champion but the way he shitstomped Lesnar into Oblivion is a cause for a bigger celebration.

 

I guess that's the best way to look at it. I was hoping for a great match, but I'll settle for Lesnar being humiliated on his way out the door :lol

 

Congrats to Seth, I didn't like how they booked the match but they'll probably get another chance at a proper match soon.

Hopefully it provides the match fans were expecting.

 

That could be said for multiple matches on this card.

 

Lesnar is a waste of space and proved it once again by refusing to work a match, with Seth Rollins of all people, absolutely pathetic. Only thing good about that thing was Seth is now champion and the belt has been rescued

And another thing, I wonder why the didn't bother with the effort on a feud. The feud was really lackluster and had no heat. I assumed it was safe to say Seth would lose after that almost nothing feud, but then he won, and I'm like... wtf?

Anyway, doesn't matter now I guess. Let's hope the championship stays on the full time guy forever.

 

I imagine it's kinda hard when half of the equation only shows up twice during the entire, multi-month feud.

Kudos to Heyman and Seth for trying to carry the thing with promos alone, but Lesnar's feuds only work when he's actually around to do stuff.

 

It was time for everyone to move on. Brock was Champion for basically two years, and as a part-timer, which I don't blame him for. I don't see him winning any title anytime soon again. If he does, it'll be on SD. Maybe he destroys Kofi, since that was a rumor going on tonight.

Ok after rewatching the match, I have absolutely no problem with the lowblow. I even LOVE it. Lesnar cheated and attacked Rollins not when he was on the ramp, not even when he just got to the ring , but when he was between the ropes entering the ring, that's just as a cheat as a lowblow.
And the face actually not acting dumb in front of a cheater is GREAT, I was tired of those dumb babyface. They even acknowledged it on the commentary. Good now brock can fuck off and all the best to Rollins

 

I'm happy with the result. I loved that WWE opened the show with this match. It made the show feel spontaneous.

Hopefully Seth is OK from some of those careless throws from Brock.

I was the same way. my husband just smiled & rolled his eyes when I was going crazy over seth winning. :lol

 

Oh how can Rollins even swing the belt like that without hurting himself or even dropping it? Also the pop for the belt swinging was mental. I love those kind of things because it gives him some kind of identity. And people love it

 

The more I look back on it, the more OK I am with how it all went down. Sure, we didn't get the epic match we were hoping for, but goddamn you cannot say it wasn't sports entertaining. The crowd was pumped as fuck, it was absolutely shocking, the right guy won, and it sets things up in a really intriguing way going forward.

 

Makes me wonder who Seth feuds with now? Drew, Corbin, Lashley maybe, etc?

 

I really want them to build towards a Finn/Seth feud down the line. But for right now...maybe start with Drew? Though, I do dream of a future Adam Cole vs Rollins feud when Cole comes up.

Also, props to Seth for going through Wrestlemania season with 2 stress fractures in his back. I just hope he stays healthy and doesn’t re injure himself.

 

Can we now say the curbstomp is the most powerful move in wwe? It only took three to put Lesnar down. Its gonna difficult to explain why seth doesn't just spams it to win lol.
And yeah Lesnar clearly cheated first and they made it clear on commentary. I think they were pushing the "takes no bullshit" kind of character lol
