I know Lesnar is kind of a sack of shit, but man, there's just something about Lesnar/Rollins that just CLICKS for me. I've always loved their chemistry.

Also, that opening segment with Rollins was sort of fantastic. I'm trying to poke in and watch all of his segments from now on, and seeing this got my feels all worked up.

The crowd reaction Seth got tonight was fucking amazing. Far better than I even imagined even though I already knew he was over. Fucking awesome. Loved the back and forth with HHH, too.

Loved Seth walking right into Brock's face at the end and not backing down. This isn't 2015 Rollins anymore. I have no problem with them having Brock assert himself tonight in their first interaction for the match. It signifies that Seth (kayfabe wise) has an uphill battle ahead of him, which every Brock opponent has. The intensity was there. Fucking loved it. I'M PUMPED.

Those F5's were for the weeks Brock's lazy butt won't show up :lol

I can't get over how much Seth beckoning Brock back reminded me of Dean in 2016. Those two are so similar sometimes!

I've been wondering about the build to Lesnar/Rollins and I really don't want any overbooked story/bad blood that will most likely suck. Just give me Seth Rollins training montages, where he does everything to surpass his limits to get ready for The Beast lol. Like HBK/Bret preparing for their Ironman match or Rocky training in Russia. Obviously you don't show Lesnar doing all this shit lol. But it's better than having Heyman/Seth cut the same promo every week.

Good start. Realizing that everyone likes to compare Seth to Shawn Michaels (even Seth himself), this could very much be Seth's Mindgames 96, which is of course one of Mick and Michaels' finest matches. We haven't really seen an overly physical and aggressive Seth in WWE from what I recall, given he is always putting his renowned ring condition on display through his athleticism showcases. Much like Michaels with Mankind, Perfect time/place/opponent to tell a different story.

Regarding the build, as a writer (not wrestling of course :maury) I always appreciate an intricate story, but I think less is more here. We already have the backstory of these two having unfinished business from WM 31/their interrupted 1 on 1, Rollins "winning one for Roman" etc. Tonight's already set Tortoise and the Hare elements in motion. I saw several people call for more animosity, I just don't think it's needed here. Story is self-explanatory.

Not be a selfish mark or anything, but I'm kind of worried that the news of Ambrose leaving might fuck up Rollins RTWM. This is obviously gonna go viral and everybody is gonna know about Dean leaving by the time next weeks Raw hits. I'm legitimately worried about the crowds hijacking Seth's segments.

I'm probably worried for nothing, but still...

#486 ·
I would hope not and im not too concerned. The fans love Seth. I dont think that they are blaming him for Dean's booking. If anyone's segments get hijacked bc of Dean anger, itll probably be the McMahons/HHH

The Seth/Brock Youtube video is already sitting at 1.3 million views and it's not even 1PM the following day after Raw yet.

:trips8

Still marking like crazy over the love Seth got from the crowd last night. That "Take his belt" chant directed to Brock.

:mark: :mark: :mark: :mark:

Not to mention the 'slay the best' and 'you deserve it' chants. Everything is coming up roses.

Seth man you gotta save Mania for me :( I might not get Dean at Mania cos of him leaving so you’re my only hope!!!

I also don’t think the situation with Dean will affect Seth in any way. I feel bad for him though, he’ll have lost two of his closest friends in WWE in only a few months :(

#498 ·
That thought occurred to me too. I'm happy if it was his last match, that it was against Seth, his wrestling soulmate.

I hope they book Seth's buildup to Mania similar to Dean's in 2016 but with a much different outcome at Mania itself, lol.

Literally never heard a 'take his belt' chant directed at anyone in wrestling before. These new chants coming in for Seth :banderas

This is fucking awesome. Those are the reactions a top babyface should get.

Pic of Seth's new coffee shop:

Looks really nice. Between his WWE salary, merch sales (one of their best merch sellers, and it'll probably increase drastically this year), owning his wrestling school, his girlfriend's botique he opened for her, the Black and Brave merch which he doesn't have to share with WWE, and now a new coffee shop; dude must be making bank. Seems really, really smart with his money.

Damn I always thought The Shield would be around forever. Now Reigns is battling a serious disease and Dean will be gone soon which leaves just Rollins. :(

Btw for those of us who've stuck by the Seth train since The Shield threads in 2012, this is so cathartic. I'm still so over the moon, More than 6 years later, he's getting a Mania main event- I don't even care if it doesn't go last coz Becky/Ronda deserve it too and we have that amazing WM 31 ending that will stay with us forever. Still, this is the first time he'll be advertised and billed in the Main Event which feels so great.

And pretty much right on fucking cue we start getting this shit popping up of the forum.

The way he walks, talks, acts, carries himself. You can tell that Amborse is a legit badass. Contrast this to the way Rollins acts. He looks like a sawft mid western white boy who grew up in a stereotypical white household. Rollins just tries TOO HARD to act tough, and the audience can see right through his act. He's never experienced hardship in his life like Ambrose has. Rollins is just not a believable face of the company, and the ratings WILL reflect that this year.

Ambrose should be the one pushed to the moon, he's better than Rollins in every way except for in ring skills. Watching the promo on Raw this week, Ambrose is legit in every way. He knows how to get the audience's attention. Even though he's placed in low priority matches, he still feels important because of his charisma and stage presence. Despite all the shit booking he's been through, he is still over because he's just that damn talented. Imagine Ambrose with control of his character AND the same push that Rollins/Reigns got. He would be a legit mega star. Its a shame Vince and HHH are so blind to this.

I fucking knew that with the news of Ambrose leaving, people would start romanticizing Dean to shit on Seth. Fucking knew it.

Now I remember why I took a hiatus from this forum.

Hey guys, please don't tar all Dean fans with the same brush? We're not all like that dude in the thread, in fact a lot of us are Seth fans also.

As someone who loves all three ex Shield members, I fucking hate it when people insult one of them to compliment another

#506 ·
I know. Your one of the good ones, and a good chunk of Dean's fans are pretty solid.

You could predict this coming though. With news of Dean's departure coinciding with Seth's big WrestleMania push, there were bound to be cunts that crawled out of the woodwork. If the roles were reversed, with Seth leaving and Ambrose getting the 'Mania push, the exact same thing would be happening.

Every fanbase has their share of fucktards.

I'd love to see Seth's edge return. I don't think the WWE gets, or rather cares, how tiring it is to see every babyface destroyed by Lesnar. These were some great clips.

Before he got rag dolled by Lesnar, that was a nice promo he cut about winning. He even made pointing to the sign sentimental and I'm jaded at this point when it comes to it. It was cheesy but it worked for me. Hopefully, Lesnar will give him a competitive match.

#510 ·
Yeah, Seth really stepped up in the lead up to the match at the Rumble in 2015. I'd love to see some of that edge and some of that arrogance return as well.

As far as his promo on Raw is concerned, it worked for me. You could tell that he was legitimately getting emotional about it, and considering all of his accolades, the fact that it still means that much to him is pretty telling as to how much her cares. With that being said, I hope they don't overdo the sentimental stuff. He had his emotional moment, He had his "point to the sign" moment. Too much of that will end up biting him. He can't look too mushy going forward.

I think we need a return of CROSSFIT CITY BITCH :lol

Haha I remember that term being coined during Seth's feud with Brock in 2015 :D

BTW that video of the interview on the Raw after the Rumble 2015 when Seth knocks over the chair always makes me laugh, he was such a shit back then :lmao

Before Brock F5'd Seth on Raw multiple times, I loved how he stormed the ring and went right face to face nose to nose with Brock. I think that's going to continue when Brock is there; Seth will be coming right at him going forward, as it should be. And since we know that Seth has the full support of the crowd (those slay the beast and take his belt chants were fucking awesome), they really have the potential to create some great/fun moments in this build to the match. The intensity was there on Monday. It's also cool to see when Seth was face to face with Brock, he's not too much shorter than Brock at all.
