I love the belly-to-belly suplex, but so many people did it very sloppily/dangerously in the past. Lesnar and Angle had some good ones, but guys like Edge and Rock who did not have that amateur background did some really poor ones.
Isn't it more up to the opponent when it comes to how the move comes off? It's at least equal. To fault Rock for his belly-to-bellys wouldn't be fair, since a majority of his opponents wouldn't (and couldn't) take it. He did a pretty nice-looking suplex to Eddie Guerrero, but then, that was mostly because Eddie understood how to take and sell moves from any size worker. Many others do not.
Anyway, I feel like there was a suplex uprise in the early 2000s, with Taz and Angle and Benoit, among others, all throwing them, and lots of them. Personally, I miss the Regalplex, but Randy Orton ensured we'll never see that again.
