...is because of bullsihit like John Silver running after Moxley and his group...or giving so much tv time to Daniel Garcia where he pretends to be a "tough guy"...or Orange Cassidy trying to be "serious"..all of this is laughable....what happened to AEW....this company was consistently trending up till 2022 but now it seems as if something changed and now they are not able to book. Even if they get some good angle going, they don't capitalize on it's momentum or book the complete opposite of what they should be doing.

Yeah the john silver thing reminds me of santino chasing the nexus

A lot of the WWE/WCW legends are aging out and Tony Khan wants the new faces of AEW to be the geeks he likes. Garcia, OC, Wheeler Yuta? Fucking hell.

It is more fucking apparent when the likes of the Outrunners and Big Bill were getting reactions from the audience and McKhan did nothing with it. Outrunners became the side chicks of FTR and there is no immediate signs they will do anything with Big William.

The something that changed was Cody Rhodes and his vision of AEW leaving the company. Whatever that vision was, it was squelched once he was out.

Turns out bad half-baked copies of angles you saw from southern territories and peak Nitro on YouTube is still better than anything Tony Khan could book. CM Punk in a position of influence was our last chance at that.

I do think it's a questionable decision to have Moxley feud with the roster of AEW Rampage.

That being said, Orange Cassidy has been heavily featured in AEW since its inception, so it's not like this is a new character

They're doing it because they're positioned as the first group to fall. The AEW booking team mistakenly believes the average fan in 2024 still cares about the Dark Order and the Rampage Army. All it does is make the company at large look bad if the top level wrestlers aren't fighting for AEW.

AEW since the very beginning has run on this idea that everyone in the company can compete at a high level. This is demonstrably incorrect with most of TNA's history. TNA, like AEW, never had a strong hierarchy and built around one singular person.

It's video game logic. It's like me using Spike Dudley to beat Brock Lesnar in SmackDown Shut Your Mouth! It's absurd.

You have to have a hierarchy and structure. 50/50 bangerz is a booking crutch with a shelf life that has clearly run its course.

The Moxley storyline hasn't really progressed that much from Day 1 outside of "retiring" Daniel Bryan. And at this point, that is becoming a distant memory since they've mostly moved past it since then.

I would have had testimonials on Youtube from numerous babyfaces [And maybe even throw in a heel or 2 to make it look more legitimate] talking about how much Daniel Bryan meant to them and was their childhood favorite. Sorta similar to how faces and heels were trashing Hulk Hogan after he turned heel. They should be building heat from it instead of it just being something occasionally mentioned. Now we're supposed to care that Chunky Taylor got maimed when he hasn't even been seen on TV since the "Best Friends Explode" storyline like 6 or so months ago [Speaking of, what happened to the third member of THAT group? Turned heel, had a few matches with OC, and disappeared]. Orange Cassidy being highlighted and now one of the top faces going against the group is quickly turning this in a comedic angle.

And to top it off these geeks are standing out there laughing it up. Like they can't even act serious. Meanwhile Mox crew is suffocating people, but hehe lets laugh it up and wait for these guys!!!
It says something when orange cassidy, "the king of chill style" recognizes and sells the danger of the MCC.

He and nigel are doing more work to get this story over then anyone right now

Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy are 1-1 on PPV, so perhaps TK thought people would want to see a rubber match for the AEW title. In theory, this is a good idea if it were someone other than Orange Cassidy.

In the past, Jon Moxley has brutally assaulted Evil Uno, so this would be an interesting TV match if Dark Order had ever wrestled on Dynamite since 2021, or if Dark Order appealed to anyone who didn't watch BTE.
