Now don't get me wrong the "Aces and 8s" look to be a very good storyline, however a number of problems hae arisen with this storyline so far.

1) Realism - A number (2 at least) of the wrestlers behind the masks are very out of shape aka flabby - The so called leader of the group.

2) Once the masks are removed, all momentum will be removed from the group.

3) A lack of message, ie why are they attacking faces and heels of the roster?

4) The only standout member is the guy with long blonde hair, otherwise the members are pretty hard to differentiate.

5) TNA are telegraphing that Joey Ryan will be a part after the attack of "gutcheck" contestant.

1. If you want "realism," you do realize that there are more "flabby" men than there are Robbie E's, right?

2. Not necessarily. Remember Doom? They were masked for a long time. And when they were finally forced to remove their masks, they still kept their momentum going.

3. Be patient. Not knowing their motives is part of the mystery.

4. They don't all need to be distinctive.

5. Maybe, maybe not.

1- All the wrestlers involved are "prospects" and most of them will not make it into the final team, the out of shape guys are there to confuse the viewer.
2- It depends on the leader, if the president is a big name then the rest of the group wins credibility.
3- The lack of message is what makes this angle so interesting.
4- Again, that's good... you can pretty much put there whoever you want in the final stable.
5- I see you are not a big joey ryan fan.

1) So, kinda like the main roster at times is?

2) Not really. That all depends on how they are booked and if they can stay over.

3) If they spelled out everything right away, there would be no point in tuning in next week.

4) So far. Give it time.

5) Awesome! I like Joey Ryan, and anything furthering his storyline is good in my book.

No I'm one of the 87% ers I like Joey Ryan, has charisma and presence but introduce him by himself in a feud with Taz not diluted with Ace's and 8s.

As for the 2 flabby guys I have a horrible feeling we are seeing Dustin and Dusty Rhodes in the group, Wes Brisco (looks to be the blonde haired guy), Jeff Jarrett.

In his little clip Chavo G was refered to as a 3rd generation wrestling star.

I have a feeling that this group will involve young wrestlers who are 2nd or 3rd generation guys.

ie

Dustin Rhodes
Jeff Jarrett
Wes Brisco
Chavo G
maybe Cody Hall

and maybe Garrett Bischoff joining them.

I hope this is not the answer though however the 2 flabby guys would appear to be older gentleman.

Which is the problem regarding how realistic the storyline is; Kurt Angle, AA, Roode, Sting and Hogan taken out by small name/older out of shape wrestlers (really???)

In WCW - Sting would often clean the ring of whoever was in the NWO at the time (and that is a gang with a hell of a lot of members apart from Hogan, Hall and Nash).

Angle - toughest guy in the biz.

AA and Roode your top 2 guys in the company.

Unless the people behind the masks are (or one of them) are very bad names you are destroying top guys with potential midcarders (major problem with the Aces and 8s storyline)

1) Realism - A number (2 at least) of the wrestlers behind the masks are very out of shape aka flabby - The so called leader of the group.

- Don't count on all of the guys being used on the show last night to actually be under the mask when they are revealed. They'll want to keep us guessing and I wouldn't be surprised to hear that it was a different group of masked men every time just to keep their identities secret.

2) Once the masks are removed, all momentum will be removed from the group.

- I don't think that is a fair statement. I mean if it turns out like the Anonymous Raw GM did, sure, but I am genuinely interested in finding out who it is and where they go from there.

3) A lack of message, ie why are they attacking faces and heels of the roster?

- That is part of the mystery for now. It could easily drag on and become monotonous and that is something they need to be careful of, but if they have a plan and they know why this group is doing what it is doing, then it is fine to keep it in the dark for now.

4) The only standout member is the guy with long blonde hair, otherwise the members are pretty hard to differentiate.

- We don't even know who they are yet, so I don't think it is fair to say nobody stands out when they are trying to keep their identities secret.

5) TNA are telegraphing that Joey Ryan will be a part after the attack of "gutcheck" contestant.

- I think that is a good clue actually. I am fine with that.

Joey Ryan being in aces&8's makes perfect sense since he's pissed at TNA for letting him go.

Garrett? :lmao nope I see him getting destroyed by A&8's next week.

There was only one "flabby" guy in the group and "dirtsheets" say it was dlo brown to swerve the viewer into thinking this group has a lot of members.
The second flabby I believe you are talking about luke gallows, he's really not that fat...

So far the only surprise is wes brisco. Luke Gallows and Mike Knox could easily get recognized, gallows attacked hogan and knox 2012 pic gave it away because of his new shaved haircut. I was under the impression that the guy with blonde hair was cliff compton, well let's see what brisco brings to the table.

AA, Roode and Angle can be tough. Alone against 7 guys, they have no chance.

If you've ever been in a fight or seen a fight, you know damn well that someone who's flabby can beat your ass. Especially if there's 7 of them and 1 of you.

2) Once the masks are removed, all momentum will be removed from the group.
No it won't.

3) A lack of message, ie why are they attacking faces and heels of the roster?
You'll find that out later if you watch the show.

4) The only standout member is the guy with long blonde hair, otherwise the members are pretty hard to differentiate.
THEY'RE FUCKING WEARING MASKS.

5) TNA are telegraphing that Joey Ryan will be a part after the attack of "gutcheck" contestant.
No they aren't. Your armchair booking critique sucks.

I don't understand why they attacked Sam the Gut Check contestant. It makes no sense. I think its a rebel takeover! I can't wait to find out who are behind the mask!

Gutcheck make sense if Joey Ryan is part of Aces and 8s (Which he is, following his interuption of gutcheck weeks ago - which was staged) and his youtube feud with Taz, Pritchard and Snow - Gut check judges.

The one certain thing is Joey Ryan is a member of Aces and 8s
Looks likely James Storm will be a member as well.
And possibly the rumoured Wes Briscoe, Gallows, Knox etc

If they were all second generation, that would be awesome.
Them attacking Roode is Awesome.
Them attacking the top guys puts them over.
TNA should keep two of them in a team with masks on.

Its sad that one of the complaints about this angle is that we don't know why they are attacking people. This is literally their third appearance on TV. Is wrestling in 2012 that bad that we have to know everything by the fourth appearance on the show?

i think that is the problem that most people don't have the patience to let it play out but that's why the live show is so crucial for TNA.
