WWE has signed many names that don’t fit their stereotypical (6’2 220 pounds of muscle) criteria in recent years, especially over the last six months.

I’m told while the success of CM Punk and Daniel Bryan has played a factor recently, Triple H is seen as the underlining factor. Hunter’s philosophy regarding talent on the indy scene has changed over the years. While he’d prefer talent to have more muscle, he feels workers that have had success on the indy scene are more dedicated to the business and don’t flake out as easy. The enforcement of WWE’s Wellness Policy as well as injuries related to PED’s, not to mention the negative publicity in the “post-Benoit era,” have also been contributing factors to his change of heart.

My source pointed specifically to Punk, Bryan and Dean Ambrose and commented how all three would have been seen as nothing more than “indy guys” just a little over a decade ago. The bottom-line is Hunter is committed to WWE having a deeper talent pool with workers that have talent (and experience) and even Vince McMahon has been more open to it.

I'm not surprised to be honest because HHH has seemed as of late like he wants talent to reign supreme over "the look". With the signings of Ambrose, KOW, Kharma (even though she got released), Sin Cara, PAC, and Johnny Gargano, since HHH has taken over Talent Relations, I can see the new focus in full operation.

I'm pretty sure we all know HHH is the person doing the signings.

I think this is a very good thing. The fact that talent and experience is reigning supreme over the way their body looks is only going to lead to a much better wrestling industry.

Agreed. Then when all the talent is in the WWE, they can hire a bunch of guys who have "the look", and "size", to job to them, to make the talented guys even more credible by showing that talent is all that matters.

Say what you want about HHH and his ego, but he really does want whats best for the business, glad to see him trying to move Vince away form the jacked up guys and more over to the talent who can wrestle.

There still the matter of guys like Ryback, reportedly, about to get pushed to the moon though . Although I will say that Ryback is miles ahead of the David Otunga's and Mason Ryan's of the world.

I'd hardly call this a surprise lol. Triple H gets made head of talent development and all of a sudden people of all shapes and sizes are getting snapped up from everywhere. We don't need a dirt sheet report to tell us what we can see with our own eyes. And tbh, I really never understood this whole thing about HHH only liking big muscular guys. Yeah, he's a big guy himself. Yeah, he's into bodybuilding. Yeah, he has signed big muscular guys to contracts. But he's also probably the world's biggest Ric Flair mark. He's a mark for Shawn Michaels. He has signed smaller guys to contracts. He has signed luchas to contracts. He has signed women wrestlers and I'm sure he'll sign a few models in the future too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, all you have to do is listen to the man speak on the subject and you'll soon find out that he really doesn't give a fuck what size you are so long as you have charisma, have a personality, can make people want to watch you and can make WWE money. That's it. A big added bonus for him also seems so to be a deep passion and respect for the business and proof of that passion/respect by watching tapes, asking vets for their advice, showing up when you aren't expected to, basically going the extra mile. Whether you're 6'10 or 5'10. I really don't think it matters to him tbh so long as you are all those things and are prepared to fight for it.

I don't really watch the indies on a too consistent basis (I usually catch all the PWG shows and the odd other indy show now and then) and even though I usually enjoy them, I can honestly say only that I can only see a small fraction of indy wrestlers on these cards to actually make it in the WWE. WWE have made the right decisions so far when it comes to hiring indy wrestlers. Guys like Punk, Bryan and Ambrose have all been signed while talents like Edwards, Strong and Steen remain working the indy circuit. Some are bland as shit, some can't work WWE-style and some just don't look like stars. What I'm trying to say is I'm okay with this as long as they don't go too overboard with this and only hire guys that they can make stars out of instead of handing out contracts every Davey and Richard working the scene.

It's things like this that really make me hope Triple H will be Vince's successor, and not Stephanie. Triple H should become the head honcho, and maybe Stephanie becomes something along the lines of what Linda was to the company.

How about no.. This site is NOT and I repeat NOT unreliable in any way shape or form. Their legitimacy has never been called into question by the mods on this site. The only reason they are blocked out on this site is by request by THEM and not the other way around. If you don't believe me ask Headliner, Shock, or anyone else. This is why I put the report in spoiler tags.

Especially when the Observer reported and Meltzer said the opposite about a month ago.

First off, let's see some PROOF. Secondly, is that why since HHH has taken over we've seen the signings of Ambrose, KOW, Gargano, PAC, Mystico, Kharma, and Sara Del Ray? There's a common thing will ALL of them. They all made their mark OUTSIDE of the WWE.

I'm seeing so much good publicity about Triple H i'm starting to get suspicious. Almost like he's the second coming of christ or something.

That being said, if true then I think it's great. HHH has a good mindset and unlike Vince isn't stuck in his own little world.

True, but i would say Rybacks is good in the ring. no problem with him getting a big push at all. as long as people like Ezekiel Jackson and Mason Ryan dont get a push i'll be happy with what HHH is doing.
