I've noticed people on this forum saying The Miz was rushed to the top when he has actually had a long running push to get to where he is now.

It all started in 2009, when he was drafted to RAW. Remember when he called out Cena every week and Cena would ignore? I would call The Miz's pushed rushed if a few months after that he became WWE champion. Like they did with Sheamus(who I am a big fan of now)

After his mini feud with Cena it was easy to see he was great on the mic. Late in 2009, The Miz changed his look, got a new finisher then became US champion. He was the highlight in his feuds with John Morrison and MVP.

In early 2010, he was already becoming the voice of WWE in the mainstream. Appearing on morning and late night shows, and promoting SVR game etc. He was the highlight of every feud he had early in 2010 and also tag team champions with Big Show.

Are people really telling me they couldn't see him being the WWE champion in 2011?? With a long sustained push that has been building from 2009. really? really??

IMO, He derseves to be WWE champion and feels like a WWE champion. He has earned it by hard work. Of course it hasn't helped his image by feuding with erm.... JERRY LAWLER. Put The Miz against the best and you will see he fits right in and in some cases much better. I hope he beats Cena at Mania

He doesn't deserve shit besides the Sheamus treatment after he loses to Cena. Promotion doesn't mean you deserve to be champion it just means you can kiss ass. Big Show does a lot of promotion but he hasn't been a World Champion in eight years and there is a reason for that. Miz will only be champion for another month though and he is barely even involved in his final feud as champion.

Hard Work is not a facotr to who becomes champion. It's all based on how well u were champion at other belts. Miz was dope as a heel when he was tag teaming with Morrison. Dope as Intercontental. Etc...He got his chance to show he can do great mic work with a heavy hitter. And the writers started writing great scenarios for Miz's success. People talking about Miz like this is exactly why he is champion. It;s like cena says, u might love me or hate me. But i'm doing my job if I get some kind of emotion out of you.

it's sad that everything went downhill because they decided to instantly bury him by booking him as a chickenshit heel an as "an undeserving" champion, right now it's too late to repair the damage, miz keeps doing his best to cut promos where he tells us he is a great champion, but no one is buying it

I admit that Miz is doing well before he becomes a Champ but once he wins it. He just looks so weak (And it's WWE's fault).
I mean after that they put him in a feud with Jerry Lawler and make him look like he had a hard time beating 61 years old color commentator. And that the only serious feud he had (I don’t count Orton both of them didn’t do anything much).

How can I believe this man to beat Cena at WM27? He absolutely has no chance to win a guy who beat the crap out of five people in elimination chamber. The man who beat guys like HBK, HHH, Batista. It likes WWE want Cena to rip Miz’s head off.

Thing get worse when they put Cena into a feud with The Rock and leave Miz behind like he’s some random people who just a title holder. He just looks worse every week it passes by. I know he try his hardest right now but it’s now gonna help. WWE only think this guy as an advertiser not a wrestler.

Let's have them talk down to each other for half an hour, and whoever gets the biggest reaction just by speaking walks away with the title. In fact, lets have a special PPV, I mean the company's all about having one type of special match for PPV's, let's have 'Promo.'

He might have deserved it, but he hasn't done anything worthwhile during his reign. His promos have been getting a bit boring these days too. He needs to lose the title at WM, probably lose the rematch at the next PPV and then have a proper feud which can help him look like more of a contender. Then have him competing for the title again in a few months. He is the future of the WWE, he just needs to be booked better.

After openly admitting he can't wrestle you want to put him in a he can actually do. A "promo match" which is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. First, he is overrated on the mic anyway. Second, you think people are going to want talking after they paid like what $50 or more dollars for WM?

I agree. He has earnt it. And I actually think he has been a solid champion thus far, and I am rooting for him at Mania. And he is really showing a new side to his character, with the new ruthlessness and viciousness of the character. Eg, just attacking Bryan, and not giving a flying fuck about Riley being sacked. Marking out the Age of Awesome.

ummm...man he has waited a whole year and a half for the beginning of the push and been in the business for 5-6 years...he has really paid his dues...hell he is Benoit/ Steve Austin 2.0...just without the In-ring skills, the size, the look or anything memorable.

NO ONE in wrestling Deserves anything, You rather make money and you get ahead or you do not make money and you get dropped. IF you use time as factor in getting a championship, the the Brooklyn Brawler should have been a champion..If you use Skill...Then Taka should be the champions...No one deserves anything.
