Explain HBK, Taker, Bret.
3 of the greatest icons you can't deny.

Flair, HBK, Taker, Rock (was not bald), Sting, etc etc etc all not bald.

2 of the GOATs (Austin and Hogan were bald (or balding)) but the greatest are not always bald.

Hogan was balding, not bald. The Rock in his prime wasn't bald. Austin, yeah, sure. HBK/Bret Hart/Flair speak for themselves. Cena also not bald. Overall, this premise seems to be deeply flawed.

It's just simple male pattern baldness which causes them to shave their head, has nothing to do with greatness. Stone cold was part of the hollywood blondes team in wcw where he had some hair but was clearly balding. Shaving your head and getting bald completely gives a lot cooler look than say the look of hulk hogan.

LOL @ people throwing the follicly challenged in there as candidates.

As for the OP's question, I think it's an exception more than a rule. The chrome dome look was made popular in the late nineties, and it just so happens that Austin is viewed as one of the greatest ever. Go back and hunt down ''greatest ever'' threads, you'll notice that many wrestlers on people's lists weren't bald.
