This is it. From the original thread asking who the greatest of all time is (http://www.wrestlingforum.com/general-wwe/625804-greatest-wrestler-all-time-who.html), the top 4 votes were:

Stone Cold Steve Austin
The Rock
The Undertaker
Shawn Michaels

These were the top 4 when the voting ended this past Friday. Then, the two semi final matches were made; Stone Cold vs. HBK (http://www.wrestlingforum.com/gener...er-all-time-semi-final-stone-cold-vs-hbk.html) and The Rock vs. The Undertaker (http://www.wrestlingforum.com/gener...r-all-time-semi-final-rock-vs-undertaker.html). The winners from both semi finals were:

Stone Cold Steve Austin (101 votes to HBK's 66 by the time the voting ended)
The Rock (149 votes to The Undertaker's 143 votes by the time the voting ended)

So, this is the final to determine the greatest wrestler of all time, here are some of the main features of both of these legend's careers:

Stone Cold Steve Austin:
6 Time WWF Champion
2 Time Intercontinental Champion
4 Time WWF Tag Team Champion
King of the Ring Winner
3 Time Royal Rumble Winner
WWE Hall of Famer (Class of 2009)

The Rock:
7 Time WWF/E Champion
2 Time WCW/World Champion
2 Time Intercontinental Champion
5 Time WWF Tag Team Champion
Royal Rumble Winner

Famous matches between the two;

WWF Championship Match- WrestleMania XV
WWF Championship Match (No DQ)- WrestleMania X- Seven
WrestleMania XIX- Stone Cold's last match.

So, vote now in the poll above, and discuss below who you think the greatest wrestler of all time is:

STONE COLD OR THE ROCK?

Honorable mentions:

The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels, who lost both of their respective semi final's.

Hulk Hogan, who just after the voting closed, just about ended up drawing with Shawn Michaels, JUST about missing the chance to be in the semi's and maybe even the final.

Again, my personal preference is The Rock and I think he is the more versatile wrestler and better heel.

But in the words of Jim Ross-

Stone Cold! Stone Cold! Stone Cold!
The Rock. GOAT.

I personally think neither is greatest, however between the two Rock had a larger and better move set in my opinion and his eccentric personality was on par with Austins.

HBK beat Hogan?

That was so undeserved.

That was definitely the upset of the tournament.

Even way bigger than if Taker somehow managed to sneak past Rocky.
stone cold is de GOAT, if you take the rocks movie career out of the equation austin was the biggest star. Austin was the face of the greatest era of wrestling.
Ok, here we go. Using the check box from the Taker/Rock thread:

In-ring work- Austin back in his prime was an absolute beast in the ring, and could really work a match very well. After his neck injury obviously he slumped down in workrate quite a bit, but still provided some classics and more ***** and near ***** matches than Rock. Rock was a good in ring worker but overrated by marks. Austin is easily better.

Mic Work- This is extremely tough. Both are two of the best mic workers ever. Ultimately though I have to go with Austin. I don't care what anybody says, but Rock rarely ever cut a great serious promo. Yeah, he does have a few, but comedy was his shtick, and he was amazing at that and the funniest wrestler on the mic ever. Austin however was great with whatever he did. Whether it was comedy in 2001, or being a badass serious face (or heel), he was always great and was cutting legendary promos even back before he was in WWE (see his 1996 ECW promo). So I give it to Austin.

Charisma- Both are the tip top of charisma much like mic work, but I'll give it to Rock. Nobody could control a crowd like him.

Presence- Austin... never even had to say a word, and the crowd would go apeshit. Out of the biggest pops of all time, he was the center of half of them.

Look- Rock easily. Face wise Austin looked badass, but his body was never that good looking where Rock's had a great look for the majority of his career.

Character- Austin, really close though.

Popularity/Drawing power- This is the category I can see much debate coming about. However I give it to Austin in the vein of wrestling. Obviously when it comes to all things entertainment, it's Rock but Austin in the wrestling world is arguably the biggest star of all time, only second to Hogan. His drawing ability at his peak was insane, and even Vince said it in a DVD once (something along the lines of) "Rock was always very popular but he was never quite Stone Cold Steve Austin." So Austin gets this.

Championship Record- Going by the same way I judged the Taker/Rock poll on this, let's take a look at their title reigns.
Austin:
1st- 3 months
2nd- 3 months
3rd- 2 months
4th- 2 months
5th- 5 month
6th- 2 months
Total: 17 months

Rock:
1st- 2 months
2nd- a week (even though I think it was really like 2 days)
3rd- 1 month
4th- 1 month
5th- 4 months
6th- 2 months
7th- 2 months
8th- 2 months
9th- 1 month
Total: 15 months and a week

So Austin wins.

WM Record- Austin (5-2) vs. Rock (5-4). Austin wins.

Legacy/Impact- Austin as far as impact on the business, saving it from near death and his wrestling legacy is bigger. Austins wins this.

---

Winner: Austin wins 8-2 against Rock for me.

Gee a poll once again came down to Austin/Rock. Mark war #91038510385135910359135u91-351 commence. :/
I have to say The Rock. However they're both 2 of the best in my opinion.

Anyone want to take a guess as to who Rock316AE chooses?

$600,000,000,000,000,000,000 on him choosing Rock! Hell, I'll double that betting he'll choose Rock over Austin in every category of the checklist I used besides the kayfabe ones.

I vote for The Rock. The Rock is the bigger star. He's better in almost every category except maybe in-ring ability(before Austin broke his neck)and The Rock was a way more versatile character. He could turn from face to heel almost better than anybody. Austin wasn't that great at being heel. I would say from 2000-2004 The Rock was the biggest thing going in professional wrestling.

1996-1997 Austin called, he said he had the greatest feud in WWF history with Bret Hart.

It's not Austin's fault that people refused to dislike him when he turned heel after becoming the most popular guy in the history of the company.

greatest feud in WWF history? debatable.

So what if Austin was popular. So was The Rock and he was able to turn heel and generate boos and then turn face and get cheers. People use the same excuse for Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan. They get cheers because they suck at being heel. HHH is somebody else who can get boos as a heel and cheers a face. Both him and The Rock were popular. So whats the difference between them and guys like Austin, Bryan and Ziggler? The Rock and HHH can play the heel!
