So do you put the rocket on and give him Rollins right away? I think he needs one more dominant feud before hand. Just not sure who the right person would be unless someone like Cena came back and put him over. (my optimism is showing again lmao this would never happen)
Cena isn't credible enough. He's jobbed to everyone, including jobber Bray. Personally, if you INSIST on giving him another feud, I would have him destroy and retire The Undertaker at Survivor Series, where it all began for him.....but Taker is a selfish prick and would never put the kid over, as we well know from previous encounters.

A dominant victory over Goldberg would be good. A dominant victory over Brock himself would be good. Mind you they'd never happen. This is the problem. Any time I think of someone who's genuinely credible, the thought in my head is "it won't happen".

He could beat Roman Reigns.....if they'd let him. I'm sure they'd let him beat Roman before they'd let him beat Goldberg or Brock or Undertaker, but I don't know.

I don't think it's too early, though. I think people would be willing to accept Bray beating Rollins. He's not new, people know who he is. He doesn't need a lot of build. But again, I think Rollins is holding the title until WrestleMania 37.

this is so much better then wyatts family gimmick. I feel like this one can actually stay. That head lantern was dope as fuck. I honestly did not see wyatt wrestling with the mask on. Thats a cool touch.
I like his fiend gimmick too, but Bray Wyatt/Wyatt Family gimmick in NXT was goddamn perfection before Vince ruined it on the main roster with all the supernatural shit.

Bray Wyatt’s NXT gimmick was so good you had guys like Jericho requesting a match on NXT specifically to work with Bray. And this was when NXT was still an actual developmental show, not the trendy “3rd brand” it is today.

Last night was the first time I ever heard this is awesome chants for a damn entrance. I agree with everything you said here though. We'll really know if they're giving him a good chance with how he's booked the next few weeks. I don't think Rollins will be champ into Mania though. Maybe Bray goes to SD and goes after Kofi.

So long as they don't turn him into a clown show as they have done previously and keep him booked strong, I'm happy with it. I love the way Bray wrestles and he has a ton of charisma. Putting him over the smiley twink was a good idea.

:mj2

I hope I'm wrong about that though, The whole Bray Wyatt/Fiend stuff has been great and I'll enjoy it as long as I can....

The way Bray looked last night he could literally squash anyone and they wouldn't look bad, so give him Goldberg.

Don't want to see him having matches on free TV just yet though

I'm fairly sure this has happened before.

Phht, speak for yourself, I won't. I'll know they're giving him a chance when he wins the title. People probably thought he was getting a chance under his original gimmick when he went undefeated for nearly a year and look how that turned out. Everything with him is always about putting someone else over.

I don't think Rollins will be champ into Mania though.
Of course he's gonna be champion going into Mania. He just beat Brock Lesnar CLEAN. Nobody has done that since 2012. He's gonna be the champion until the WrestleMania AFTER this WrestleMania. WHO is gonna beat him? There's nobody credible enough.

This was a CLEAR passing of the torch. As clear as clear gets. This was the victory Roman Reigns never got.

Maybe Bray goes to SD and goes after Kofi.
I doubt it. The rosters are supposed to stay the way they are, and he's listed as a Raw guy. Besides, Bray as champion on the Fox network? LOL, I'll believe it when I see it. Knowing WWE, I can see Brock going to SmackDown to beat Kofi. The only thing that might put a pin in that is Heyman is working on Raw and might not be able to travel to two different cities a week because he's got to be busy focusing all his creative efforts on Raw.....but I could still see it because it's what they do and Fox probably wants Brock.

I remember in like 2013 I was in Fort Wayne Indiana seeing a Smackdown show and the dark match was Wyatt in his preaching gimmick and I was like who the fuck is this but then when he started talking I was like wow this guys mic skills are insane and then he impressed me big time in the ring so yes I am with you when you say his nxt gimmick was better.

The fiend has awesome potential... but so did bray and the wyatt family :draper2

He can't lose a feud, a match, a brawl, anything, for at least six months, preferably longer

What about feeding a heel to Bray next? Put over that he doesn't care about heel/face alignments and will fuck anyone up. The only problem with that is there aren't any credible heels.
Defeating Bryan or Styles would be nice.

I like the fiend so far, but I think he needs to abandon everything the old Bray Wyatt did. Stop doing the sister Abigail and hanging from the ropes upside down. That decapitated Bray head lantern should signal the old Bray is completely gone.

I liked the entrance at SS. But let's be real. How long is he going to do this "character"? Will he completely commit like the introduction of Kane? Glen was Kane for YEARS. Is Bray really going to do the Fiend for years. No, he won't.

My prediction. You'll see this "the fiend" for a while. Then the other Bray will start coming out, the guy on the Funhouse. Bray will be that guy going forward.... The "the fiend" will be brought out on special occasions, like how Finn Baylor is now doing with the "the demon". Wouldn't shock me one bit, the fiend will be one of those things that years go by, like you may not see the persona for years... then Bray will break out the character for a special opponent/match. That's if Bray is around for years.

What I find interesting is that the sudden love for the character in general. You guys do realize it's the exact same thing people are crapping on that they did years ago. but now somehow it's cool. I always thought this stuff was good. It was good in the 80's, 90's, 2000's, and it's still good now. .... Wait 10 years, people will be crapping on this stuff Bray is doing. Hell people were attacking the very first Funhouse promo. Where are those people now?

So you're saying he could either be a geek or a star?

I still think everything about this gimmick in and of itself, from the Firefly Fun House, to the ring gear, to the remixed theme (until the chorus anyway) is bad and shouldn't work, but it does work only because he has so much charisma and the presence of a madman.

It's impossible for me to get excited about it, though, because I KNOW they're going to ruin it. If this was AEW I'd have faith, but in WWE, uh uh. We don't get to have nice things like real main eventers as champions, we get Rollins and Reigns.
You got a point there, this could all be ruined tonight on RAW knowing WWE. Imagine if they go the 50/50 booking route like they do 90% of the time and have Balor get his win back tonight. :mj4

I know. I'm still on Cloud 9 from last night lol. That shit was so awesome. The whole hurt and heal shit is exactly how I wanted them to do it too. Bray fighting with himself during the match showing that the fiend is 'controlling' him. They literally are doing the character perfect. Go watch the entrance again the way he sinks down during the hurt part of the music and pops out for the heal was brilliant. He should be a main champion by Survivor Series. Let him dominate until Mania and let the babyface inevitably take him down. Or have him dominate and finally capture the title at Mania. This is the best character they've had in god knows how long. I am so scared they're going to fuck this up.
I loved how they did that myself. I think at some point, they should have the real Wyatt win the "battle inside" during a match and take the mask off. If Wyatt wins the title, that is how he should lose it. That way The Fiend is protected and we get some character development. But yeah, they're gonna fuck it up. If not tonight, before Clash of Champions.

Cena isn't credible enough. He's jobbed to everyone, including jobber Bray. Putting him over Goldberg or Taker would be too much too fast. I would hold off on that until Wrestlemania. I would put him over Reigns and Cena first. Even beating Lesnar is too much right off the bat, even though he lost to Rollins last night. Cena is still credible enough to make Bray look good. Long absences always help to wash away the stains of jobbing. Beating Rollins or Kofi is also acceptable.

He's been around for YEARS.

Besides, "too much too fast" is a concept that doesn't exist. Either you're good enough or you're not good enough, and if you're good enough, you can handle being pushed fast.

I would hold off on that until Wrestlemania. I would put him over Reigns and Cena first. Even beating Lesnar is too much right off the bat, even though he lost to Rollins last night.
And why is it too much? Because he's not over enough to handle it? Bullshit.

Cena is still credible enough to make Bray look good. Long absences always help to wash away the stains of jobbing.
Not in my eyes.

Beating Rollins or Kofi is also acceptable.
How is beating Rollins acceptable but Goldberg and Taker is too much? Rollins is more credible than Goldberg and Taker. He just beat Brock clean, which they couldn't do. :lmao

Not to mention you're talking about him winning the title, which is the ultimate destination, but beating two over the hill legends is too fast? What? Beating an over the hill legend is not more important than beating Rollins or winning the WWE title. I won't say less important than beating Kofi, because who the fuck is Kofi, but he does have the title and that is ultimately far bigger than just some win against Goldberg or Undertaker.

You and I who are well-versed in all things wrestling can look at it that way, but 95% of the WWE audience do not. Most will still look at Taker, Lesnar and Goldberg going down to Wyatt as a FAR bigger deal than Rollins going down. In my eyes, Rollins is still a mid-carder, even with his big win over Lesnar. He is technically "stronger" than Taker/Goldberg/Reigns/Lesnar now that he got the streak rub, but the majority of the audience is not going to really look at it that way and will not take Wyatt beating Rollins clean as seriously as they would Goldberg/Taker losing.

The WWE Title is lower on the scale in comparison to legendary status, which Rollins does not have yet. It shouldn't be that way, but that is how WWE has presented their titles. Beating Rollins should absolutely be the top thing, but it isn't. There isn't much credibility anymore given how they have booked their champions. Beating Goldberg or Taker would establish Wyatt as "The Guy", which is why it should be held off until Wrestlemania. Beating Rollins won't give off that same feeling. Even if he is the "Beastslayer".

I agree that he should stop with the upside-down rope hang thing. The Sister Abigail finisher is still alright by me though.

I feel like the Fiend kind of exists out of the realm of face and heel. He's just scary. I think you could have him go after a heel like Daniel Bryan. Or maybe he takes out one member of the New Day at a time until he gets to Kofi.
