Is the Storm push over? I believe the plan all along was for him to Main Event BFG. They noticed that regardless how hard they pushed him, he got little pop. I think he gets beat at BFG and drops down to the mid card where he belongs. I like the guy but he is average at everything he does. I nice mid card fued with AJ or even a heel turn might do him well.

Thoughts on this? I've been watching TNA for about 3 years now and he's just boring to me.

Storm bores me as a singles guy.

I've been watching TNA since it's inception and I don't think he's ever done well alone. With AMW and Beer Money, he was very entertaining. Alone, he bores me. His matches are good don't get me wrong, but I don't ever care if he wins or loses. The thing that interests me is usually his opponent.

I don't feel Storm is main event material. Midcard, sure. Or better yet.. make another team with him.

Most of the country doesn't watch MSNBC (maybe 5% of the country and probably less watches Fox News and they dominate cable news ratings) and around half the country doesn't vote Democrat. There are alot more people out there like James Storm than you think and many of them used to be wrestling fans during the old days. Entertainment shouldn't be politicized because an entertainment company's customers include Republicans, Democrats and people who support neither major party. Not everything in life has to be politicized and people should be able to enjoy entertainment without somebody injecting their political views into everything.

Storm has been over in the past and TNA definitely sees him as a major star, although he has cooled off since losing to Roode at Lockdown. Storm's probably winning at BFG and he's probably facing Aries in the main event of Lockdown next year and it is quite possible that Storm may come into that match as the champion. If TNA is to reach the level that WCW used to be at, they need to claim WCW's "*******" audience before they can get there and Storm has the star quality and the charisma to connect with that audience. It seems people forget that the biggest star of the last boom period was a beer-drinking *******, although that ******* character wasn't as strongly identified with the South as Storm is.

If Storm's character doesn't appeal to you, there are many other characters near the top of the card, so there has to be at least one of them that appeals to everybody that watches the show.

I was just wondering why TNA has used the bottle smash to the head so many times as they have? I mean, come on man!! If it was a real bottle, then there would be a great chance the bottle won't break. And bottles made of sugar does not cause you to be knocked out so you could get a pinfall on him. But still TNA thinks we are so stupid we believe it is a real bottle. I mean, it is the same thing as hitting someone with a soft rubber-something like a hammer and that should be the same thing as hitting someone with a real hammer. Come on man!! Please stop using that bottle thing because it is so fake as hell when it breaks each and every time in so many pieces.

So what? Stone Cold Steve Austin and Randy Orton got over by doing things you shouldn't do in real life such as driving a quad bike into work and beating people up for no reason. Its about making the character as entertaining as possible.

Yeah I don't know what some people are talking about, storm is one of the most over guys on the roster. Tbh he gets a bigger reaction than Aries whis the world champion. Only guys more over are probably hardy, angle, and styles.

That said, while I like his character and like his mic work, he's one of the guys that I see as a main eventer but not as a potential world champion. I don't know why. While I think he's often a bit dull in the ring, I don't think that's it. He just doesn't have that X Factor that a Roode or Aries has.

I definitely see him as more than a midcarder, though. Unfortunately, as I say, I just have this feeling that he's a "reliable pair of hands" that you can put in any main event match rather than being a potential winner of that match, if you know what I mean.

I'm liking his current character and to say he isn't over is an ignorant statement. Him not winning the BFG series was simply to set up a big double main event for BFG. Hardy/Aries and Storm/Roode which does not need the championship as the feud and history is enough to make us care.

I used to like Storm, but he's so bland as a face. You can say this about a lot of guys, but he works better as a heel. I don't even think he has to stay in a tag team (I feel it helps, but out of AMW, he was the guy I'd say I'd want to see have a singles run whereas with Beer Money, it was Roode), but it'd be nice if he wasn't so...."cookie cutter" or generic I guess

Storm has been over all year, its just cooled off recently. He is still popular. He was over in Beer Money and with AMW.

I don't think he is a main event star, face-of-the-company guy but he is definitely one of the best on the roster as a package. In the ring he is dull though and I am tired of seeing serious Storm charge about being miserable and angry.

Roode used it originally because spitting the beer was part of Storm's gimmick. Roode has kept using it because his character is obsessed with Storm and is doing it to get into Storm's head.

After their feud ends, Roode and Storm's characters will probably change significantly because the feud has defined their characters for the last year.

TNA changed things up a bit with Aries since Storm was already established in the up midcard with guys like Bully Ray and Kurt Angle.
AA needed that destination x win more than Storm but it's only a matter of time until he and bully get their deserving title reigns.

To the people that hate storm, too bad... He's a tna original and isn't going anywhere. Get used to it or change the channel.

As a Brit I've never got the guy's appeal as a singles competitor. Roode has impressed me far more.

Storm just simply bores me going on about longnecks and ******** whilst his daughter is on a horse behind him in every other promo. Even though he's a decent worker and has a lot of potential on the mic his cowboy gimmick is just dull when it's given a big push.

I see him as a mid carder but as a main eventer I just don't see it. Especially when you have guys like Bully Ray and Austin aries around, there's no contest.
