So it's pretty much a repeat of his Wrestlemania Storyline after the Raw Takeover....he's not an underdog anymore so the whole beating him to a pulp thing just for him to overcome the odds is already played out....and Kane's mask is irrelevant. So do you guys still think this is main event worthy??

I'm rarely opposed to Kane just obliterating people. This time is fine by me, but I don't believe it'll be the E.R. main event.

I also think it puts Bryan back into the underdog position where, in my opinion, he needs to be to remain at the top. And yes, it's played out.

A few weeks ago Kane lost to The Shield within 5 minutes. Bringing back The Monster gimmick makes him a believable villain and plants the seed of doubt for Extreme Rules.

That's why it seems so repetitive. We saw this happen already. And we all know the doubt won't be there unless y'all are really gullible. Kane won't win at extreme rules. Losing to the Shield then jumping straight to a Daniel Bryan feud makes no sense .... Bad writing as usual

Of course losing wouldn't make sense, but you have to understand the target audience is children and casual marks, so they'll take the bait hook line and sinker. Shades of the Attitude Era. Russo approves.

If they are smart this plays out as a "will he be fit for ER, there is the 30 days clause..." story, keeping Bryan from active competition for the next few weeks, which'd be a good thing, people still want to see him in ring, but if he continues to have start/end segments of RAW and Smackdown almost every week, this might die down quickly. People want to see him, the less matches he actually has the "fresher" his special ppv ones will continue to be (plus it'd involve a break for him to mourn his father, IF that is what he wants, else scrap the whole idea ofc...)

This was an excellent idea for that reason. Gives him time to bury his father and recover, while providing a believable excuse for his absence. I applaud creative for bringing shock value back to WWE programming.

Wow Eric Young wins the title as an underdog and everyone loses their minds. WWE copies TNA, having their masked monster unmasked and wearing a suit, eventually putting back on and everyone lets it slide.

And before you come back with the story behind it was different that's the same as Eric Young deal.

People are already bored of Brian.

Bryan and Kane feud is basically going on since they where tag champs, EY and Abyss since they had the freaky roadtrip to slammiversary, nobody gave a fuck about it til a week ago (including you) fpalm
There are only so many archetypical storylines in a ring, and wow, the odd couple turning David/Goliath one just happened to conclude in two companies at roughly the same time
