I have a special place in my heart for the Coliseum Video releases of WWF PPV's from 1985 to 1997. They have a number of qualities about them that make them in some ways superior to the uploads on the streaming services. However, I am puzzled about a few things surrounding the In Your House PPV releases.

The 2 main things are the official releases of the PPVs and the VHS titles,

As far as the releasing of the PPVs is concerned Sadly not all 19 IYH PPVs had an official Coliseum Video release in the US. All of them got released under the "Silver Vision" banner in the UK. Another issue is that a number of IYH VHS tapes are released under different names instead of the PPV's name. Here's a table of what got a US release and what didn't, and the names the tapes go under:

Has official Coliseum Video release in US
Doesn't have official Coliseum Video release in the US

In Your House PPVTitle of Coliseum Video Release
In Your House 1In Your House
In Your House 2The Lumberjacks+
In Your House 3In Your House 2

In Your House 17: Ground ZeroNone
In Your House 18: Badd BloodRampage 97
In Your House 19: D-Generation XNone

*: In Your Houses 4 and 5 were released under 1 VHS tape in the US called Winter Combat 96
+ As far as I know In Your House 2 and Good Friends Better Enemies are the only IYH shows that did have US releases but not a part of the official Coliseum Video catalog from what I understand.

Is there a reason why the WWF didn't give all 19 In Your House PPV's official Coliseum Video releases in the US. and what was the reason for the different names for the tapes?

I didn't love the renaming of the tapes on Coliseum Video. It just struck me as confusing and unnecessary.

Is there a reason why the WWF didn't give all 19 In Your House PPV's official Coliseum Video releases in the US. and what was the reason for the different names for the tapes?
I remember by the end of 1997, they were starting to move away from the Coliseum Video brand and more toward a WWF Home Video imprint. This was when the product was starting to become popular again and was becoming more available in stores. By the mid-90's, they were trying to find a balance between the more rental-priced market and the cheaper priced-to-own VHS tapes you would find at retail stores.
