So I was sitting and watching TNA Impact and came t think of something when Hernandez hit the Border Toss on Douglas Williams...

Isn't the Border Toss too dangerous??? What's your thoughts??

Nah, it's not. It hasn't happened before. They're professionals. Kinda looked like Doug threw his legs up a bit as well. Either way, they're in the business and they know there's risks to it. I wouldn't blame Hernandez for it because he's done it perfectly fine before it. It was either planned or was just a rare occurrence.

Yeah, I'm not asking because I think it's a bad move or because I personally think that it should be banned or something Just wanted opinions because my friend made a comment about it being to risky. Some moves are more risky than others, but they're trained pro's

It's not that risky at all. They usually land on their back. Just like I said, Hip Toss can kill you if you're not careful.

All that being said, that was a NASTY border toss. He landed right on his neck. I was amazed that Taz nor Tenay made a bigger deal of it. Taz mentioned that it was bad, but I was expecting a JR style "OH MY GOD" when I saw it.

If only TNA announcers were any good. Or if they had JR(same goes for any indies). JR can sell a spot like no one else in this industry can come close to.

Hernandez maybe goes too far in heel mode, or just genuinely excited and pumped up for being back that he put extra into it. Can also see it as Williams underestimated his strength and helped the move too much.

That Border Toss wasn't a botch, it was just a botched landing, learn how to take a bump Doug Williams. Dude curled up in mid air instead of just landing on his back.

Not true it is Hernandez obligation to take care of Doug. He just carelessly dumped him.

Of course he did, that's what the Border Toss is all about. It was awesome. What exactly did he do wrong to botch it? He launched him like he does everyone else. It was just a bad landing. Tough luck. Do you think Hernandez was intentionally trying to hurt the guy? That's a pretty ridiculous assumption.

I guess you think TNA should now outlaw any potentially dangerous moves. Yeah, lets deprave the fans of all the best finishers in the business.

Pro wrestling is a dangerous pseudo-sport. The wrestlers take real bumps, sometimes there are these things called "accidents." And sometimes the accident is the fault of the recipient taking the bump wrong. But regardless of who's fault it was. Botched moves will always exist, nobody is perfect.

This. Its a very dangerous move but like you say, everymove can be potentially fatal if done wrong....

I think it is unnecessarily dangerous, really. It's basically an Outsider's Edge, but thrown from twice as high and with as much angular momentum as directional. This means the fall distance is easily enough that someone could spin out in the wrong direction and a total lack of support during the landing if such a thing were to happen.

He landed it very well, I thought. As soon as he realised he was going to land at the wrong angle, he adjusted as well as anyone could have.
