The biggest "MAN" in professional wrestling

As the title says, who by your opinion (based on facts form career and personal life) is the biggest "man" in pro wrestling? And NO,i DON'T mean dick size.

In my opinion its Kenta Kobashi. And this is why i picked him.

Kobashi debuted as a professional wrestler on February 26, 1988. He was booked to lose his first 63 matches (all singles bouts).
It was at around mid 2000 that many wrestling magazines began calling Kobashi "the perfect wrestler," standing at an impressive 6-2 and 280 lbs., Kobashi possessed the strength to out-power most wrestlers, yet he was also able to perform a high flying moves with the skill of a lightweight. These traits combined with his amazing endurance and unmatched toughness made Kobashi a legend.
Unfortunately for Kobashi his knees finally deteriorated to the point he could no longer work through the pain and he was forced to take 13 months off for healing. He went through multiple knee surgeries during this time. After he recovered and had some of the greatest matches in wrestling history in 2006 Kobashi got sick with cancer. On December 10, at the Budoukan, Kobashi appeared before the fans and announced that he would return "WITHOUT FAIL".After an incredible struggle the guy has beaten cancer and on September 8, 2007, news broke that Kobashi would make his return on the December 2, 2007 Budokan Hall event.Kobashi LOST the match .
In September 2008, Kobashi underwent emergency surgery on both of his arms. Kobashi was expected to be out of action for up to a year, but he would return to the ring less than six months later. Prior to returning to the ring,an already legend in his prime and one of the greatest wrestlers in the history stated that he wanted to start in opening and jobber matches, and slowly rebuild himself again to main event .
Throughout his career Kobashi has a total of 23 5-Star matches, beaten only by Misawa(24).

I really can't think of anyone who can compete with this kind of incredible character.

Who is your pick?

I never saw him wrestle before but that is one helluva resume
John Cena Durrr.....

But I completely agree about Kobashi, I'm not a fan of puro but I do love his match's. They make the hair on your back stand up all excitement. That being said Meltzer completely sucks Kobashi's dick. No disrespect to Kobashi but Meltzer has a sick obsession for him.
Flair survived an airplane crash to go on to wrestle over 35 years.

Jumbo Tsurata kept wrestling for almost a decade after being diagnosed with Hepatitis B.
Probably Flair. The fucking psycho crashed in a plane, got hit by lightening, survived 30 car crashes, wrestled 2 hour matches per day (each possibly 5 stars), bled gallons of blood, broke his neck several times, 40 year career, led the greatest faction in history, got the best match out of EVERYONE he ever met, wrestled infront of the biggest wrestling crowd in history, 16 time world champ, hero of the NWA, travelled to every territory on the planet and since you care so much about Mr Meltzer, the Wrestler of the Year award is named after Mr Flair himself

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

KNEEL BEFORE THE GOD OF WRESTLING!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

What,who cares about Meltzer?
You do. Hence mentioning that Kobashi had 23 5 star matches. A purely subjective view by Dave Meltzer. You could have said favourite matches, or classics, but instead you chose the 5 star route counting the matches Dave liked.

Also, i would like to throw the name Benoit out there. Since he was so fucking crazy and intent on making it look 'real' he took ridiculous amounts of brain damage that killed him. He wrestled to death basically.

Or Mick, who lost his ear, finished the match. Fell off a cell, twice, and then thumbtacks, and finished the match, Took a dozen unprotected chairshots to the skull, and finished the match. He basically went to hell and back so many times he's got enough frequent flier miles to upgrade to first class next time.

Its just a reference based on opinion respected by most of the wrestlers and wrestling fans,no biggie.BTW did Meltzer molest you as a child or something  ,it seems you have some issues with him

Oh,sorry for the double post but i don't see how Foley and Benoit fit into this.If you're gonna look it that way then guys like Sick Nick Mondo and JC Bailey are untouchable. You got it wrong,by "man" i meant things like personality, character, passion, amazing career and stuff.
Then its Flair. Flair is the greatest of all time. The business would not be the way it is today if it wasnt for him. He is the definition of The Man. No force in the universe could stop him.

And coming in second is Terry Funk

Oh, and im sorry i brought up your boyfriend meltzer. If he says its five stars, then by golly its a fact, because someone his opinion, and yours, is right. And isnt the entire point of all your posts? To somehow show your delusional 'superiority' over the rest of the wrestling fans out there. That for some reason your opinion is fact, everyone else is wrong, and we should all get down on our knees and start sucking off your almighty Puro wrestlers.

I fully agree on Funk, that's the MAN,however i don't agree on Flair simply because he's greedy, bitter, jealous old man who lives a hedonistic, comformist life only to be in the spotlight until the day his bones turn to ash.I can't call a person with that kind of priorities and character the man.

But what was that Meltzer/puro/something rant?It seems you really got some issues with some wrestling critic guy.Calm down, its just wrestling.Or maybe i catched you on a bad day.Are you ok,can i help you feel better?:(
Kobashi and Flair are definitely at the top. Dr. Death Steve Williams has to be considered as well.
The fact that Dave Meltzer has given Kenta Kobashi 23 five star matches means absolutely nothing to me for the simple reason that i don't take much of what Dave Meltzer says seriously. I mean come on are you seriously telling me that Kenta Kobashi and Misawa between them have had more than ten times the amount of five star matches than WWE has ever had as a company, it is all down to his own personal opinion.

I can not accept for the life of me that WWE has not had a five star match since the first ever Hell in a Cell match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at Bad Blood in October 1997 but yet anyone brainwashed by Dave Meltzer will believe that. Since that Hell in a Cell match i can think of Triple H/Mick Foley at Royal Rumble 2000, Shawn Michaels/Triple H at SummerSlam 2002, Shawn Michaels/Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 21 and Shawn Michaels/Undertaker at WrestleMania 25 off the top of my head that were all five star matches and i'm sure there are many more that i can't think of right now.

If memory serves me right Dave Meltzer hasn't given any match in america a five star award since the Triple Threat match at Unbreakable 2005 in TNA between AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Samoa Joe for the X Division. Before that the last one was Samoa Joe/CM Punk in their second match but the other one he gave out was with Samoa Joe and you guessed it Kenta Kobashi in ROH, i think that Dave Meltzer has some kind of obsession with japanese wrestling which is why the majority of his five star awards end up over in japan.

He probably was bullied in school, so he wants to put himself above others, but fails miserably.

Anyway, Flair is the answer for reasons already stated

Grumpy bear, try some warm milk :)
The thing with Flair for me is that anyone who stepped in the ring with him seemed to instantly become more credible regardless of wether they lost or won, he does come across as pretty bitter in interviews that Ive seen but at the end of the day he spent his whole career making OTHER PEOPLE look good, thats good enough for me
and because of this promo (along with countless others)
