That's true. At the very least, WrestleZone needs to be banned.
I've seen larger forums implement it pretty well. Its a good thing to do because I've seen it at others places and it worked like a charm but this place is 10x bigger than a lot of other forums around and could be harder to filter out. I mean its easy to control when you have only a few new regulars around every month of so but when you have a bunch of them everyday sticking to rules like that would be near impossible.
Not really.Very bad idea. They account for a lot of the posting that goes on.
So what?Even if it did, so what?
I just looked at my comment again and it was a stupid comment to make. I stand by my thoughts that dirtsheet speculation threads don't create as much activity as you think they do. I'm not saying we should get rid of all news related threads but the ones dxbender mentions in this post:So what?If WF got rid of the news article threads and all the activity that comes from it then they get fewer hits and the site has less activity.
I think some things from dirtsheets shouldn't be allowed(such as, the current plan for raw is for ____ to face ____ and have ___ interfere setting up a feud for the ppv).
Even though after last week, it was obvious this is gonna happen since those 2 guys were feuding already.
Though some things from dirt sheets(such as reporting an injury, stating that someone is currently backstage on raw, that wwe signed someone ect.) should be allowed.
I've always wondered why this doesn't already happen on this forum. On all other sport forums I post on threads are locked when it is clear the source is unreliable (due to there being no direct quotes or the quotes obviously being fake due to them not being attributed to an individual).
It would help filter out a lot of bullshit to be honest. I mean, why discuss something 99% of us know is not true? The dirtsheet threads mainly consist of people saying how fake the report is.
The "news" that we talk about should be the product. Not what supposedly goes on behind the scenes. So what?If WF got rid of the news article threads and all the activity that comes from it then they get fewer hits and the site has less activity.
No. That's not what I said. Discussing what is happening, or what should happen in the future is one thing. But as fans, how is it any of our concern with what goes on behind the scenes? If you have had a favourite movie for years, but then read that someone on the set didn't treat someone else well behind the scenes, does that change your opinion of the movie? Is it even any of your business?Even if the dirtsheet reports are mere speculation instead of fact - it's still a conversation point.
If we wanna ban them for being unreliable sources filled with lies - then should we also ban threads like "Imagine if this guy was still alive and faced that guy"? Or anything even remotely hypothetical?
You really want the place to be a strict as shit, straight down the middle discuss-facts-and-nothing-else kinda place?
