Re: Team Yes2j
I can already get the sense that this proposal won't be popular around here, but I actually like it. If Daniel Bryan has roughly become like any star of the modern "past" I would argue it is Chris Jericho. Remarkably over, able to keep a consistent heel reaction even while having audiences chant along with his catchphrase and bulletproof in the sense that he can lose, lose and keep losing big high-profile matches and even matches of lesser consequence but remain over and vital regardless. The in-ring component isn't to be disregarded, either.
Considering that I have no idea whatsoever what either one of these two guys would potentially be doing once Jericho is done being John Cena's doormat in the Money in the Bank build-up and Daniel Bryan is finished with gunning for the WWE Championship of CM Punk's, I like the idea of them teaming up. Their taking the Tag Team Championships from Air Truth at Summerslam has potential in my view. I'd even be keen to see them hold the straps together through the rest of the year and then split up around January/February with one of htem turning babyface for a feud that goes to Wrestlemania.
Unfortunately, WWE has conditioned fans to believe that tag teams = inferiority. And for the most part, that has been a self-fulfilling prophecy but it need not be that way. Oh well.
Having said that, I also understand the reasons for not having them tag at all. Bryan in particular remains quite hot with audiences, and this storyline with AJ may dictate where he goes on the card and what he does in the near future.
