This is annoying me so much so I wanted to let you all know. As I type, there are around 140 people on "Babes" section, and about 30 in the WWE Section. I have guessed that something is wrong, so I had a look. Some of the people on there have never posted on any other section. Is this wrong? Yes. Because, it is saddening to say so, but I think the majority of people there visit WEForums for a cheap w**k. WEForums is a great, predominately-wrestling section, and I believe that these people are taking liberties with the great stash of babe pictures available.. I mean this to say that the Babes section is the ONLY reason why they joined in the first place. I think it is wrong. What do you think?

The way I see it, those people who come here to look at the WOW forums are still making money for Amish and that's what the forums are essentially here for unless I've been wildly missled, so there isn't a problem.

Also, there missing out on the best part of the forums, and us the regular users of the forums benifit by not having them clog it up with opinions which may not be good ones, seen as the majority of the WOW lurkers are no0bs and we all know how stupid no0bs can be.

That's how I see it anyway.

Just a question: How do forums make Amish money?
I think It's due to advertising, can't see how else it would be. Companies are using his site to expose there product/website whatever to over 100,000 people, that's worth money.

But how can you tell that certain sales are made from advertising on here? I dont understand!

Well, if people click on the companies's advert, then the company will know that someone is or could be interested in their product. And if it is a link to a website then they could be making money the same way by getting a hit on their website. Also if you see a brand name crop up everywhere (like with Coca Cola) then that brand will seem familiar to you when you see it in a shop, the idea being that you will go for the more familiar product rather than one you don't know or know less. So by companies putting their adverts on WEForums, they are familiarising you with their product. Hopefully.

Actually, no, Amish is no longer making money off the forums. Months ago, before the design, when we had about 5 pop-ups per page, yeah, AMish made some money. But turn off your pop-up blocker and browse the forums now. 1 pop-up per 12 hours. He loses money from these forums.

The WOW section obviously attracts members. But it's not our most active forums -- it's just the most actively viewed forum. They don't post as often because they registered to view, not discuss. There is nothing wrong with that. As I have said before, registered members have the right to just view, just as you have the right to post. Just because they do not post doesn't mean they don't enjoy the forums.

Often I get e-mails from people who are registered and have 0 posts. They ask me to change their password because they didn't receive an e-mail when they had their account changed. Many times they have been registered for years. Some of them ask why they were IP banned, saying they've been coming around for years and didn't know what they did wrong. (IP bannings happen since some IPs only use two numbers on the end. For example, if someone had the IP of 12.34.56.78 and I IP banned them, someone with the IP of 12.34.56.789 would also be banned...ya)

They are members just like you and I. Only difference is we're here to post, they aren't.

I think it is BS that people just sign up to view porn...some forums make post count rules to get into their Babes or Media sections, but I find that just as pointless. Making a post count rule just means hundreds of new users spamming the shit out of the boards to get 50 posts or whatever. It only makes sense with media, since people who just sign up to view media can use up that person's bandwith even though they don't even post here...I think that's kind of wrong.

There's really nothing anyone can do about it though...it's a problem all popular forums have.

That's why we use the [hide] tag for media. Not evryone is willing to reply to a post. If they aren't, they can't get it.

Still, we're probably never going to force members to have "x" posts to reach any forum. No real point in it.[/hide]

Amish LOSES money from these forums? Jeez. Well he has my respect. I wont operate a forum, even if it was a Wrestling one, if I didnt make a gain from it. Big props to the owner!

I get tired of reading Amish's complaints about Leeds. Like today! 0-0!

I had to tell him not to ban half the members here last time the game was a tie and I pissed him off. True story. partially, rit

I think that they are missing out on all the other great things this forum has to offer. its not wrong to go there, but give the other sections and users some respect also by replying to their threads, starting new ones, etc
