Cena is notorious for making sure true talents don't break through (MVP, Kennedy, Riley, Swagger) and now with CM Punk in the main-event he's making sure that no one breaks through as well. If you have talent in WWE in 2012, you're screwed.

He should've never been world champ in the first place. I don't understand why they even had him win the MITB match at WM 26 after he was doing nothing but losing filler matches on Raw. I'm not saying that he should be main eventing but he should at least be a credible mid carder.

Regardless, cutting the dudes entrance is a major slight. At least the Miz still has that.

Also, Swagger being a shit champion wasn't really his fault. He brings it in the ring. He's got the charisma of a tree stump, granted, but that's kind of irrelevant. A guy who just cashed in money in the bank isn't likely to have any creative pull. His reign sucked because the creative team was out to lunch when they wrote his segments (like so many other times). Swagger could have all the charisma in the world and it wouldn't matter if the creative team is making the calls. Zack Ryder would never even be where he is now (which isn't even the best place to be) if the fans hadn't demanded more of him. Without them WWE would still have him jobbing every match or possibly released.

I still find it funny that the guy NEVER wins yet still winds up in matches with champions all the time. The guy got two US Title shots this year after jobbing for MONTHS prior and got a match with the World Champion tonight.

Well the reason he didn't keep the title long in 2010 was not because he was boring, it is because he got a ego backstage. He is a great mat wrestler, has great moves, but here is the thing. I feel that he has lost his smile in the WWE. Just like Drew a few others that could of been big if they weren't with the wrong spouse or had a ego or couldn't put enough gas to break through.

I'm probably the last person to ever play the burial card, but I am honestly worried for Swagger.

1. His merchandise on WWEShop.com is gone. It's not like there ever was much for him, but he isn't even listed anymore.
2. Ziggler got the semi-push, Swagger got nothing.
3. He lost. To TYSON KIDD. Nobody would have ever seen that coming.
4. He jobbed to Ryder on Superstars.
5. His entrance didn't even play on TV before he got squashed by Sheamus.

And sure, similar things have happened to other guys here recently. R Truth, Miz, Ryder, and Ziggler, but three of those guys are doing much better now, and I have no doubt Miz will be too upon his return. All of those guys are more over, more charismatic, are better on the mic, and are almost as good as or better in the ring than Swagger. All are far more marketable too. I'm having a hard time finding any good reasons as to why they should keep Swagger as anything more than a jobber.
