So I'm sure everyone knows Chyna and I bet a lot of people here know Beth Phoenix too. (I don't keep up with modern wrestling myself) Sadly they are a rare breed in the big leagues. Even when a modern female wrestler isn't terrible in the ring, they're often more athletic than anything because the insecure majority want women with curvy bodies, not rippling muscles.

Anyway, in my many years on the internet I've seen plenty of topics asking "who's the strongest wrestler?" (the answer is probably Mark Henry or Bill Kazmaier) However I've seen very little discussion about the mightiest ladies of wrestling.

So, good people of the forum, who do you think are the strongest gals ever to enter the squared circle? I'm looking for more of a list and not just a #1. Maybe Top 10 or Top 5 if you can manage.

And I'll be honest about the fact I'm more interested in North American stuff than Japanese. I don't mind if you list strong Japanese women though.

Anybody remember Asya?

I wonder if she'd rank high up there.

I'd never seen that first Beth video before...she IS very strong. It's obvious that they dumb down her strength in WWE though. Guerrilla pressing a man and then lifting two men at once and then carrying two men and slamming them both with ease?

A shame how she's used. Ah well...

I dont know, I want to say Nicole Bass, Cause she just seemed like the all around pure body builder.

Kaytlin is there but she is a shorty ^^, Chyna should be there but she still had some womanly figure.

Beth is clearly there, but I do think they tone down her strengh I think she is naturally just super strong, then there is Aloisa who's hight alone should make her easy to toss around any one.

Lol at Chyna's "womanly figure". That was all thanks to a team of doctors. She was barely better than Nicole Bass at first in terms of looks.

While my list will be at the end, I must say that people don't talk much about "strongest women" because women's wrestling is often much more about athleticism than it is pure strength. The ladies are often looked at as a specialized continuation of the cruiser weight division (especially since the vast majority of the ladies would fall into a Cruiser weight class). In fact, outside of the WWE/WCW styles of wrestling, sheer strength is rarely the biggest draw.

1. Nicole Bass
2. Kong/Kharma
3. Chyna
4. Beth Phoenix
5. ODB or Tara/Victoria

As unsightly as she was, it has to be Nicole Bass.
