Below are some highlights from an interview between “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and UK Newspaper The Sun:

Watching Wrestling: “I watch all wrestling whenever I can, I watch WWE and I watch TNA. I’ve just always had that passion for the sport. That’s what inspired me to enter the ring in the first place, I watched wrestling avidly as a kid and back then it was guys battering each other in smoke filled arenas and blood flowed freely. And that’s why I still watch WWE and TNA all the time today, it’s entertaining and takes me back.”

His Neck: “I’m lucky, you know my neck is 100 per cent these days, I can do my own stunts and fight scenes where I can. I don’t claim to be a tough guy, but I give it a go.

Wrestling Again: “I never thought I’d say it, but when I’m asked about one more match these days I do tend to say ‘never say never’. So don’t rule it out.”

Hmmm, who would be his opponent? Cena? Orton? Taker?

Thoughts?

Austin Vs Taker at Wrestlemania ?
Austin Vs Cena
Austin VS goldberg at wrestlemania... the match everyone wanted to see back in the early 1999 or 2000.
Too late for Austin vs Hogan...

I like the idea, but I shudder at the thought of Austin returning and not being utilized properly. He was the Attitude Era, so I really don't think he should return unless he's able to be the Rattlesnake that he always was. When he guest hosted Raw some time last year, he felt neutered to me.

I'd also hate to see him in TNA to be honest. I look at TNA as a parody of what a good wrestling promotion should be. Some of the stuff that happens on Impact is so amazingly wrong that I love it. For example, Ric Flair and Mick Foley's promo last week.

Cena would make the most sense, if not him then Jericho as they never had a really good match and he's the biggest heel in WWE right now.

My problem with Austin v Cena is that we've seen them get physical before (stunner @ Tribute to Troops). I'd rather see Undertaker or Goldberg.

From a marketing standpoint Cena Vs Austin, however I personally want to see one more fued between Stone Cold and Triple H, just for nostalgia purposes.

The Sun in the UK is featuring an interview with WWE Hall of Famer “Stone Cold” Steve Austin where he talks about still watching pro wrestling despite not being involved actively for many years now.

“I just love pro wrestling. I watch all wrestling whenever I can, I watch WWE and I watch TNA.

Austin also talks about the health of Hulk Hogan and teases a possible return to the ring.

“You know I’m hearing Hulk is talking about getting back in the ring, even though his back is messed up. He was a big guy and all that wear and tear takes a toll on the back and the bigger the guy, the harder it is. But more power to him if he thinks he’s fit to step in the ring. He’s the immortal and only Hulkster, so ultimately he knows his body best. I respect whatever decision he makes. I never thought I’d say it, but when I’m asked about one more match these days I do tend to say ‘never say never’. So don’t rule it out. I sometimes wish Hogan and I had a run. Imagine how good that could have been?”

I just hope Austin has it in him and IF he does have one more match that he is healthy enough!

He really said this?

Seems unlikely if you read his past interviews.
