Tessa Blanchard won the Impact World Title which was a historic event. Then she was stuck in Mexico due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It was revealed that Impact Wrestling will make an announcement next week regarding Tessa Blanchard’s status. Fightful reports that Blanchard will be at Slammiversary and she will be defending that title.

"They’ve set Tessa Blanchard, Michael Elgin, Trey Miguel, Ace Austin and Eddie Edwards for a title match for the show."

It was also reported that the idea of unifying Moose’s TNA Title and Blanchard’s Impact World Title “are not in the cards.” They could circle back around to that idea. Right now the TNA brand might be too popular to let go of right now.
Tessa Blanchard will be back, just not so soon. She didn’t make it to the round of television tapings that are currently airing. She will be back by Slammiversary on July 18th.

Interesting if true. Also note that the Slammiversary title match would be a 5-way which might suggest that King of the Mountain is returning.

Tessa has been nothing but excellent infront of camera & there has been nothing but love for her behind the camera for how she's conducted herself since being in IMPACT, not everything is a work or a disgruntled Wrestler. She would've been there earlier if allowed, I am certain on that.

The damn pandering of her has been stupid. She missed all this time and these fools did not have the guts to strip her off the title. Pure bullshit. Elevate a princess, this is what happens.

Would be the best time ever for her to come to the ring, she gives her title away. Then you hear Trouble Trouble Trouble. Don Callis hands down the title to EC3! Cause he never lot the TNA/Impact title, remember? Matt Mardy won it at BFG but he was helped by his brother Jeff. So the title was declared vacant, there was a tournament for it. But on paper EC3 could say with his lawyers he examined the case and since he never lost it, they should give it back to him. And this was on the table for him signing back with Impact. Instant Heat for him just after seeing a crying Tessa giving up her title.
