Re: Spider-Man: Far From Home (July 5, 2019)

Well here I'm hoping that the blond chick in the trailer is gwen, since the begining I didn't like that fake MJ and I'm glad I'm not the only one who dislike what they did to her, hell her name is michelle jones, just because have same initials she is mary jane?, is like put a guy name pedro perez and make him become peter?, anyway enough rant.

trailer looked good, mysterio was awesome and there was those easter eggs and scene to make you think. Loved the new suit.

How does hanging around Ned take away Peters nerd side? Ned is a nerd too, nerds hang out together. Also how does flash being a dork take away Pete's dorkiness? That does not even make any sense.

And that was the whole point of Michelle, she is supposed to be invisible like those people in HS you didn't pay attention to and never knew existed. So her just popping up makes total sense because she is there, you just don't notice her, which again, is the whole point
Flash is Peter's high school bully. Look at Peter then look at Flash. C'mon. With Ned I get what you're saying, I know nerds hang out together, but Peter's cool side comes to surface way more than his nerd side. When they're together, I can't help but make the comparison. He's cooler than all those guys he hangs out with, which is not how it should be.

MJ isn't going to show up, just like the Hobgoblin isn't likely to show up either. This Spider-Verse changed stuff for the sake of it, it is what it is
Why would you destroy my dreams just like that? Hobgoblin (Roderick Kingsley, not that D&D monster they use in most ultimate-ish universes) is my favourite Spider-man villain.

Looks cool to me. I was worried that there was no way they could make Mysterio’s outfit look good on film but it looks like they succeeded.

Personally I’m cool with all the little changes to some characters. This is the 3rd retelling of the Spider-Man franchise. You can’t do the exact same thing over and over again. The general audience gets bored quick. As someone who grew up reading Spidey comics I would have been beyond frustrated if I had to sit through the Uncle Ben storyline again.

The thing is, the dynamics of Peter's relationships with them also affects how I see Peter himself. Hanging around with Ned takes away from Peter's nerd side, Flash being a dork takes away from Peter's dorkyness, etc...

Michelle was the character I hated the most in Homecoming, she always seemed to appear out of nowhere to deliver a ''funny'' line, logic be damned.
Michelle felt more like a 2-D gag prop in Homecoming than an actual character I'd like to see more of. She wasn't even particularly amusing, either. The fact that a legitimate MJ was being replaced by her makes her even less interesting. I also felt no chemistry between Peter and Michelle. I think I would have rather seen more development with Liz than more Michelle. Liz wasn't given a whole lot of depth either, but at least there was something reasonable to work with there between her and Peter, as opposed to just a random 1-liner delivery device that isn't even funny. They had a chemistry and dynamic that could have been built on. I didn't get that from Michelle at all.

Flash was another huge miss top to bottom. Another character that really added nothing to the film, and doesn't fit the role he's supposed to be playing as an actor or a character. It's not clear why anyone likes this guy, why he's popular, why anyone cares what he has to say, or anything of that nature.

I actually didn't mind Ned. Even nerds, loners, and geeks have friends. It makes sense for the outcasts and those who don't fit in to gravitate toward one another, because no one else will have them. And I generally enjoyed some of the comedy he added to the film.

So guys....when are we going to all admit that Sony actually handles Spider-man better than Disney?
Well since I enjoyed homecoming more then any spiderman film I ain't. Most people actually prefer homecoming from what I have found <img src="http://i.imgur.com/7KU7Fqx.png" border="0" alt="" title="Draper" class="inlineimg" />.

Flash and MJ aside. They are trash

Edit: if this includes into the spider-verse I ain't seen it yet :side:

The trailer was surprisingly great, I agree that the side characters are plain terrible, but Parker is so spot on and it has Jake fucking Gyllenhaal in it. Anything would be an improvement over the first one which was shit.

If only I could go back in time and erase my mind from Kevin Feige's horrible incarnation of Spider-Man :mj2

It's actually quite remarkable how badly he's botched it, makes me extremely nervous about him getting his hands on the Fox characters :worried

yet the majority of spiderman fans think this is the best version of Spiderman (or at the very least think TH is good). But of course, a few people on WF have to be contrarians.

Anyone who does not think Tom Holland is a good spider-man really does not know spider-man at all.

Fingers crossed this isn’t mediocre like Homecoming. Teaser trailer looks aight. There are some familiar beats to Homecoming with the supporting cast and class trip set piece. I like Gyllenhaal as Mysterio from what they’ve showed us.

I also agree Sony has made better Spider-Man and Spider-Verse movies and characters than Marvel Studios at this point.

X-Men: Homecoming

Prof X and Magneto will be Bill and Ted type teenagers, one will have dreads the other a red head, Wolverine never forgot his past and is actually terrible at being a killer, the X-Mansion is a hologram and is actually a underground bunker ran by SHIELD, Sentinels are created in this but it's actually Stark tech that was modified so Tony must be called, Jean Grey is also played by Zendaya in this and actually is with Toad and not Cyclops, Cyclops is nerdy but he also has a best friend named Jubilee who is super fat and is just a WEEB who loves to cosplay.

Hoping it's not something like that.

People can stop complaining about "how long is Spidey in the MCU for" now. With Nick Fury involved in the sequel it's pretty clear he's in it for the long haul. Initially the Sony/Disney deal only covered Homecoming, Infinity War, and End Game. We've obviously gone beyond this. Magneto is looking bad ass and he's finally making his big screen debut :drose.

Edit: I like how people are giving Sony credit for the MCU Spidey when they're the ones who made the dumb changes just for the sake of saying "we still control it" :mj4.
