Some fans wondered about WWE not including two of their biggest stars – CM Punk and Sheamus – in the new Scooby Doo movie that they are releasing in 2014. PWInsider speculates that this may be a sign neither Punk or Sheamus is signed to a contract through that year. In the past, WWE has been against putting talents in projects that would come out after their deals are up.

2 years? punk will still be pretty young and wwe.. well smackdown would struggle without sheamus, he's a larger then life character who kids adore, hopefully it isn't true.

Not really news. Most common wrestling contracts are for two to three years. If Punk re-signed last year, then that would put him on pace to renew in 2014, same with Sheamus.

If true. Than I would say Punk will retire since he said he plans to in a couple mroe years. Sheamus will re-new.

I don't see Sheamus leaving by 2014. The WWE is heavily pushing and investing in him heavily right now as a new face of the company. That is unless Sheamus decides to do a Lesnar and pursuit careers outside of wrestling, which I don't think he has shown any indication of yet.

As for Punk it's very possible. Hes said in many interviews that he will retire "sooner" than people think. The guy has been wrestling non stop for over a decade and is visibly beat up. His own scheduled break in 2011 was interrupted as we all know too well. If he wanted a break then I can't imagine he signed a long term deal when he signed a new deal, definitely not a 4 year + one.

Sheamus gone by 2014? Not in a million years, too good to be true. Punk, I can believe it because if you listen to him, he's retiring in a few years.
100% agree with this statement.. wish Sheamus would fuck right off my screen, but he's gonna be there for a lonnnnnnnnng time.

And sadly, Punk is gonna continue marching to his own drum and be out of there on his terms - sooner, rather than later.

While it is possible both their contracts could be up by then, Sheamus is definatly not leaving the company. Punk most likely will, as I would say he only has 2-3 years left as he has been wrestling since 1997 and has said in numerous interviews he wishes to retire before 40, and "sooner than anyone thinks".

This has to be one of the worst dirtsheet reports that I read in a while. How did they come up with that conclusion? WWE doesn't give people movie roles if they are likely to be heavily involved in the house shows and since both CM Punk and Sheamus hold titles, they will be heavily involved and not available for filming. Both men will still be here in 2014 and Sheamus was reported to sign a 10 year contract 2 years ago.

John Cena, Triple H, Kane, The Miz, AJ Lee, Sin Cara, Santino Marella, Brodus Clay, & Vince McMahon

So based on that, dirtsheets will say that Punk,Sheamus contracts expire cause they're not on a small list of 9 people(out of a roster filled with like 60+ stars).

By that logic, I guess Orton, Cole, Barrett, Ziggler, Rhodes and all those other guys won't be with WWE in 2 years either....
