Just finishing a reply on another thread just minutes ago I found myself thinking...Do I take music took far and the messages they sent? and the answer is...yes..to a certain extent..

I agree that music is an underlying factor in calming down the emotions..hell it's my number #1 thing that keeps me alive at times..But going through another heartbreak (number 5) I found myself taking music just a little bit to far..Songs like "Okay I Believe You, But My Tommy Gun Don't" by Brand New, "This Photograph Is Proof (I Know You Know)" by Taking Back Sunday, and "Close Friends" by Adema among many other songs ive been listening to the last few days I found myself getting more enraged, depressed among other things blaming myself and such for not being good enough for her..

Also to add on to this..my ex band Heartbreak Times 8 just may get back together for one show..under my plans and ideas cause of the shit im going through..now thinking about it..why? cause im to depressed? cause im to angry? cause music is the only way I can truly express what im going through? Although Music is the greatest thing in the world in my opinion I feel that (with myself Included) some people just take music to seriously at times in which they just need to calm down..

Kidnap and kill the bitch.

(just like in Early sunsets over monroewille by My Chemical Romance)

ANYWAY I dont take the music I like to seriously. Sometimes I can relate to them, but Im not going to do what some say. I'm above that.

The only time I take music very seriously is when someone is acting like a know-it-all and starts talking like they know everything about a band when in fact everything they say is wrong and they're talking out of their ass... Major pwnage from me there.

Besides that... I have those hugeass headphones that sit around your neck, I just like to crank it all the way so everyone else can hear it.

I only listen to music in the car and SOMETIMES in classrooms. That's it. Not on my TV, not on my computer, nothing. I don't like having to sit and listen to something or having music in the background while I am doing something (like on the computer). Music is okay if you're driving or sitting in a car because that's basically all you really can do, but if I am watching TV, music is not what I'll watch. I like doing things that requires using my brain rather than simply listening. But that's me.

So no, I don't take music seriously at all.

Sometimes music salms me down, sometimes it makes me more enraged, and sometimes i looked for hidden meanings behind the songs i hear at certain times, so yeah I know i take it too seriously at times. I know others do as well
