Rollins is out, the amount of star power and talent on the main roster is very possibly at an all time low...I foresee them bringing up some of the NXT folks to fill in the cracks while they deal with Cena, Bryan, Rollins AND Orton being on the shelf/gone for the next while.

Thoughts? Is Balor ready for the big time? If not, is anyone?

None of the guys in NXT will be able to fill the void, and Balor would be best suited debuting in a better position. I don't think any should, just because of the few injuries.

I'd like to see it be Samoa Joe, he already has a ready-made main roster feud in Cena, considering they're friends outside the ring and Joe trained him back in UPW, and there are multiple other compelling matches he could be in over the next few years (Cesaro, Brock, Orton, Owens, Wyatt, Del Rio...)

However I don't think they'll do it, I imagine Balor drops the title to Joe, gets called up, and then Joe holds onto it for awhile before eventually dropping it to Itami after he returns.

Other than Joe or Balor though I can't see anyone else getting called up right now.

Considering the fact that this coming Royal Rumble will be held in Orlando, I can't see anyone be called up until the Rumble. I think Balor, Crews, Sami Zayn, and Samoa Joe will be the ones to make their surprise entrances.

Samoa Joe is the most expendable. I doubt there are any plans to put the title on him due to his age and the desperate need to establish new stars. Corbin needs to stay down here for at least 6 more months and get a title reign, Apollo is still finding himself, and Balor is too bland as a face. If anyone needs to be called up, which I don't think anyone should be, then call Joe to stall until Cena and them get back.

Hopefully it's not Balor. He has plenty to do in NXT still. Rushing him up to the main roster just because guys are injured wouldn't be good for Balor's career.. It would have to be Samoa Joe, they likely don't have huge plans for Joe on the main roster so they can throw him up there just to get people talking.

The only guys who are even close to ready for a main roster call-up are guys who they presumably have a plan for and wouldn't burn a redshirt on just to fill TV time.

They'll just do a better job of featuring underutilized guys on the main roster and maybe bring back an old veteran or two.

Also, I think Bryan is good to go and has been cleared by his doctor. If WWE allows him to come back, he could be thrust straight into the main event picture.



Anyway, all the champions are heel except Charlotte and it's been a long time since they had a decent reign by a babyface so I want a face to win it, before Sheamus or Wyatt does.

Absolutely this. We still have Rhyno and there is James Storm who can replace him as a veteran jobber.
