That was so hard to watch him announcing his retirement but his health comes 1st. Dude gave us about 2 decades worth of quality entertainment and put his body through hell to do it. THANK YOU EDGE!
I totally agree. Edge should appear more often. Maybe as a commissioner or some other on screen role.
I think for the moment he wants to prove he can have a life outside of wrestling, but if ever he feels he's proved that then I wouldn't be averse to a new GM.
Sheamus/Randy Orton just dont cut it as top stars for Smackdown. Edge is the man that Smackdown show was brought back to life with him on it. I just cant see Smackdown having a future with talent like Sheamus/Randy Orton being the top stars as there not that good enough
Well we are talking about a guy who was caring this show for years before his retirement. Can't say that ADR was ever good last opponent of his and also his glory days where probably during 08 in la familia feud.

In a way it's good that he didn't overstay his welcome.
If he would be there every week his reaction wouldn't be as big as it was. But I wouldn't him seeing him on commentary.
I could be wrong, but by this time he would have already been retired?

Wasn't the plan to turn Edge heel, feud with Christian over the WHC and ultimatly lose it to him in a laddermatch at Wrestlemania (and maybe a rematch at Extreme Rules, since his contract ended about that time).

Is this correct or was it just a dream I had?
you have Encore to take his place. that should put some asses in seats :lmao
Yeah, the guy was certainly something special. Wouldn't mind him being brought back in a full-time role.
It's funny how people's tunes have changed about Edge.

Shortly before he retired, a large percentage of people on this very forum were complaining about how he was stale, he was boring, he was past it, etc etc.

It took his retirement for people to realise just how good he was.

Edge is most certainly missed and the WWE is poorer for his retirement. However, I'm glad he managed to retire before he took one bump too many and ended up crippled, because he certainly sounded at risk of that judging by his retirement speech.
I got to give it to Edge, he proved why he was the last true heart and soul of Smackdown while the likes of Orton fail miserably.

Sheamus looks like the Nintendo 64 kid in that picture.
Hell I'd love for Edge to comeback just to make impromptu Teddy Long-esque tag team matches every week.

I know I should respect your opinion but I find that difficult because you’re a fucking idiot.
Sheamus is the best superstar on smackdown and always will be.
What Smackdown needs is focus. I think that "the end" of the brand extension, while good for Raw made Smackdown look worse.
Yeah he was the only hope back when I still watched SmackDown.
Damn right they're missing him, god damn I wish he hadn't been so injury prone.
