I have heard people trash this guy as if he were some jobber. Despite his short stature everything else about him in my opinion is just fine. He has changed up his look quite a bit. Bald head, full beard, and a far better physique than he has had in the past. I don't mind his mic work and I find that there is something "old school". I look at stars like Ryback, or Big E on the main roster and tell myself that Mike Elgin is far more entertaining than either of those two men. I think of stars in NXT like Dempsey, or Fulton and tell myself he is certainly better than those two men. I know that there are going to be people that don't like Elgin, that's fine. This is a thread for those on both sides and also in the middle on him, or basically those that are still undecided. He is 28 yrs old and now is the perfect time to bring him in.

I don't think they should, Elgin has a hard enough job getting over with the ROH crowd so him getting over in the WWE will be near impossible, he would most likely go the route of Sheamus or Del Rio, a good wrestler but someone who doesn't connect with the crowd, if any company should sign him it should be NJPW, the guy was great in the G1 this year, is steadily becoming a draw in NJPW and they have more wrestlers there that wrestle his sort of style (hard hitting matches, his match with Ishii for example)

I totally disagree. I think that NXT could get this guy on the map. I think his problem is that he isn't singed to the WWE/NXT. The writing in NXT has been strong and he has changed his look and work on the mic. The indie fans aren't always the best critic for potential. NXT caters to a larger audience than TNA. Larger audiences would find Elgin refreshing.

Michael Elgin is fucking awesome. He won me over. Sometimes he is bad, but when he is good, he's damn good. I hope he goes to NJPW full time. Current ROH is shit IMO, he's one of the few guys I like there. He is 28, he's still young. He can be a couple of years in Japan and then go to NXT/WWE.

I feel like he is the perfect person to feud with someone like Joe, or Corbin.
