I perceive them as normal people who are shy. I don't got any problem with them.

I used to be hella shy, but once I was comfortable I was something else. I think I've outgrown my shyness for the most part, now you'd probably never guess I was a shy person. Also my shyness lead people to believe I was quite stuck up. I got called conceited a lot. I can see someone masking their shyness by being a stuck up prick, probably one of the best covers.

So no, I don't have any issues with shy people. It's the people who are too quiet and nice all the time that you have to watch out for.

I prefer to think of myself as "demure"
"And Pratchett Demure, from Art Literature,

Nips up the nearest tree."

Gonna call you Pratchett Demure from now on in honour of one of my favourite Genesis songs.

Which one is that? I am currently drawing a blank.

Much prefer reserved quiet people to people who can't stop talking. The latter rarely have anything intelligent to say.
Brings to my mind the saying "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open up your mouth and remove all doubt" :D

Why would anyone have problems with someone being shy?
Like CHAMP said, some people can confuse shyness with being stuck up or rude.

I hate people who talk just to talk, unfortunately for me I know a lot of these people.

Battle of Epping Forest. Peter Gabriel era Genesis, baby.

"Taken from a news story concerning two rival gangs fighting over East-End Protection rights"

Lyrics are brilliant.

Words to live by, Pratchett Demure.
