No because then Dixie Carter and co would be admitting that they screwed up. Like it or not, ratings were going to drop because there are some mildly retarded people out there that would rather watch old ass Hogan, Sting, Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle dominate TNA then see guys like Roode, Storm and Aries get the pushes they deserve. Should've happened years ago but hey TNA is paying the price for that with weakened star power. The likes of Angle,Hardy,Hogan,Sting putting over the good talent a couple of years earlier would have benefitted the product a lot more. Instead people just got irritated/bored and just don't give a shit anymore.

Really? Why are rating so important to people? TNA is going through a transition right now. You can't expect a new writer to come in right away and change everything. TNA had the old stuff written through lockdown and now it will take some time for the new stuff to work. Everyone wanted Eric off TV, he is. Everyone wanted younger talent and it is going to happen. Yes I'm not the biggest Hogan fan but I don't mind him having the GM role.

Mainstream pro wrestling needs new blood at the top. There are guys on the indie scene that TNA should have grabbed up before WWE did or whatever. Guys like Heyman, Russo, Bruce and others are NOT the future of the business. Pro Wrestling doesn't have to be and shouldn't be presented one way. It's a shame that TNA didn't call up Striker to be a commentator for the company or Rob Naylor. That TNA had no interest in talking to Gabe and having him run things for a bit or even perhaps Quackenbush. There are guys out there right now who run promotions in parts of this country that are booked pretty solidly though they have no big distribution deal. Its all about hunting for talent which is easier said then done...but a new standard has to be created.

This. The major problem with TNA is that it hasn't adapted to modern times. Instead it's been trying to relive the glory days of the Attitude Era and use that to spike the ratings. Time for new blood.
