Every now and then, I read people fast forward or skip though AEW matches. I am curious on the percentage of fans would like to only see Men's division in AEW. Rumor is Tony Khan does not like Women's Division but it does seem likely because he does have women's matches.

Should they? Yes. Women's wrestling usually kills interest and ratings.

Will they? No. The controversy of doing so is too great. At the very least, keep it a side attraction in the company and maybe stumble across a feud that can somewhat draw every now and then. At the moment. they definitely don't have that. What's even the point of the TBS Championship? Who knows. It hasn't done jackshit for anyone so far.

Yes, but I still want women on the show. They can be valets or managers and occasionally wrestle in grudge matches. Or be inserted like Shayne Wayne is. I think that would maximize their value.

Tony probably keeps the women to at most 15 minutes of each 2 hour show bc he can still make money off their merch but not have them kill the show.

They could downsize but they don't need to remove it. What was the point of all those belts?

Regardless of how negative the Women's Division has been used it's still better to have the division than to not have it at all. If we want AEW to try to cater to casuals more then the women's division should exist. Otherwise there is less of a variety in between the "5 star flippy matches".

Everything has pros and negatives. The women have had some positive moments. Julia Hart is at her peak so far right now, for example. The youngest title holder in AEW history. Part of AEW making an effort to build new stars.

This is something that doesn't get mentioned much: AEW has provided a gateway for some indy wrestlers that possibly were unknown to WWE and wouldn't make it over there. So as much as it looks like Tony doesn't care about the women as much as the men and everything, the fact that the division exists alone has had a lot of positive outcomes.

Scrapping an entire division of women in 2023 will generate nuclear pushback against AEW in the media. And it might be the final nail in the coffin for that dying company.

Here’s a better idea. Hire a competent booker.

Anyone else watch AEW so stoned that they cbf skipping shit and then you get some garbage like Skye Blue or Abadon on your screen and you’re forced into fast forwarding

Or just me?

If they shut down the women's the criticism will come. If they keep it up, the criticism will come.

I am quite enjoying the womens division, though I think a tag title would work better than the tbs title. There are a bunch of great characters

Its tough, because its difficult to generate interest with one match a show, but more than that and they get criticized.

Tony Khan wouldn't be able to handle the backlash for that even though he would love to do it. Let's be serious here: he only puts one women's match on the show because he has to. If women's wrestling weren't thriving literally everywhere else, even GCW, then it would be relegated to the shows no one watches when he has nothing else to put on.

All divisions will be eliminated when they run the same arena WWE does. I think that's the new narrative???
Not eliminated, just unlimited empty arena matches!

They can't. It would be a PR disaster.

They have Toni Storm right now that's coming into her own, but yeah the women's division is extremely weak and neglected. The fact that they had to dig up Riho to be Toni's next challenger is proof that TK just doesn't give a fuck.

Thunder Rosa and Jamie Hayter coming back into the fold would help a little.
