Two middle aged men dressed like Turtle from Entourage and I loved it. But in all seriousness. CM Punk owned Cena that night. He got the Riyadh crowd on his side. He even did the thuganomics better than Cena. It's Punk Life.

Which will most likely happen

It's definitely not the segment of year and Punk didn't do it better than Cena did, anyone who thinks that is laughable. It was ok, cheap lines to pop the crowd, 'burns' that we've all heard before but with rhymes. It started off good but then it went a bit flat near the end.

Damn, I thought this was going to be about that absolutely awesome Cody and Randy face-off. Did you guys SEE that? Fucking incredible stuff. I couldn't believe my eyes.

That said, this might have been pretty good if Punk didn't (1) look doubly absurd dressed that way when he has grey in his beard, and (2) get stuck getting his lines out more than once. The words were funny, but... So what? Nothing he said could overcome what happened last week. I was amazed how well I remembered that stupid fucking song though.

Regardless, they seemed ready to boo him before he came out, and he got them on side, so that was good. Hope it carries over to the show today.

It was a great effort, but can we agree that shoot statements about Cena "burying" talent is not the way forward for this business. Cena is a character. He can't bury anyone in kayfabe, because he's a character. Stop bringing attention to the idea that a character determines whether he wins or not. I hate it so much, and I don't know why wrestling creative leans so much into it these days.

Other than that, Punk did a great job remembering those lines. The delivery wasn't amazing, but credit to pulling it off all the same.

I'm... not sure how to feel about this. On the one hand it was cringey as fuck, on the other hand I certainly didn't expect something like this and at least they've tried to surprise the audience instead of doing another pipebomb or something (because after last week we knew Punk is going to retaliate with a promo this week).

Yeah. Basically, not my cup of tea, but I appreciate the effort.

Just awful playground kiddy nonsense for what is supposed to be a top feud. This is how Punk responds after Cena layed him out last week and cut a 10 min promo above him whilst he lay immobile all that time in such a humiliating visual? Punk responds by ordering his costume designer to get vintage Cena lookalike gear and spends his week plotting revenge by writing rap bars on a piece of paper. And doesnt get physical once in the ring face to face just like Cody didnt either. What a frickin joke this company has become

I imagine it was good for getting all nostalgic.

I thought it was OK, punk did well considering rapping clearly isn't his thing. As it began to rhyme I was like 'oh he's trying to rap' ? But there were definitely moments where he lost confidence in it, where the crowd weren't quite reacting where they were supposed to. He'd get a reassuring CM Punk chant and get some verve back but I don't think Riyadh was the right crowd for this moment.

At least they tried something abit different. I'm not a fan of a promo without rebuttal though. Neither are part time so why can't they say things back? Probs how HHH wished it was back when he was against The Rock, Stone Cold and the rest.

The entrance was great, but the actual segment died an immediate death as soon as he started rapping. This was a failure on their part and didn’t work. I see what they were going for and the effort was good but at the same time this was embarrassing.

They were dead AF because they didn’t understand any of the shots Punk was taking lol.
