Source: http://wrestlingnews.co/sean-waltman-says-wwe-talent-needs-to-start-speaking-up-more-to-management/Sean Waltman was interviewed by WrestleTalk this week and of his quotes got some people talking. Waltman said, “Don’t get me wrong, there were times when I was selfish. I didn’t let anybody walk on me when I came back to WWF. I was more equipped to say, `I’m not fucking doing that, that sucks.’ Guys need to start doing a little more. I might get heat for saying this, but they need to start saying that.”
The feeling in WWE is that most of the talent is walking on eggshells and they are afraid to speak up. I see what Waltman is saying but in the 80s and 90s when someone spoke up, management would have been more receptive to ideas and they were less likely to fire someone for speaking up out of fear that a talent could sign with the competition. Now, most of the wrestlers don’t have anywhere else to go unless they are willing to take a big pay cut from what they are making now.
