After the TNA show on Tuesday I noticed Scott D'Amore liking everyone's comment on Twitter that wished the name TNA would return return for good. Do any of you see that as anything? I mean, WWE wouldn't like anyone saying "return to WWF" or "Make the show WCW"

The TNA name was the original sin of the company and put a very low ceiling on the company as a result.

But with AEW a thing now, maybe that low hanging fruit niche would be enough with no more aspirations of being a #2.

AEW is a niche company in of itself, as a matter of fact AEW's ceiling is smaller than what TNA's was. AEW is more niche than TNA was.TNA was getting 1.5-1.7 million viewers against the most watched thing on tv(NFL) every thursday night, meanwhile AEW can barely get 800,000 viewers against WWE's developmental brand (NXT).

Impact's goal is to get back to being number 2 company in the U.S thats why Anthem signed a deal with IHeartmedia to promote Impact and help it grow. Anthem also are partners with AEG (a marketing company who has small shares in AXS tv) to help out with marketing.

And the thing is AEW aren't even growing so AEW being a thing now means nothing.

To be honest, Impact needs to reload. They're most over person is a woman they made world heavyweight champion. Moose should be their most marketable star but he has a noted history of domestic violence. Everybody else that Impact has brought in are over the hill veterans like RVD & Shamrock. Right now MLW, NWA and even ROH have a better roster than them.

If you're going to count over the hill wrestlers then no the NWA doesn't have a better roster then them nor does ROH by your logic.

Heres who else Impact's signed Jrdynne Grace, The North, Michael Elgin, Willie Mack, Ace Austin, Acey Romero, Desi hit squad, Larry D, and Madman Fulton. They are all young.

They have the weakest most lacking roster of talent the company has ever had. They really need to cycle talent

Its almost like they are so focused on certain wrestlers that they don't know what to do with the rest of the talent they have. Using the Rascalz as an example. They will win 2 in a row and you think they are getting pushed. Then they lose the next 3. You can replace the Rascalz with almost any mid card talent singles or tag team.

Can't a woman be the most over person?

They brought in a lot of young talents like Chris Bey, Kylie Rae, and are now establishing young talents like Ace Austin, Willie Mack, Rascalz, Jordynne Grace, Tessa Blanchard, etc

Veterans are only a few, and you need a few veterans on your show. RVD is reinventing himself, Shamrock's role in IMPACT is just fine, and Rhino is in really good shape.

I would really like to see Impact using more past TNA talent than ECW. I'd much rather see Hernandez, Crazy Steve, Crimson, Marty Bell, ect... being brought in for a taping than Sabu or Sandman.

It'd be a tricky one, pretty sure the bald Nazi's own the TNA wrestling name after a dixie deal
The TNA name was acquired back from Aroluxe once Anthem payed the loans off.

In my opinion, the TNA name shouldn't return. TNA was big budget. IMPACT Wrestling is smaller budget and an entirely different product.

Same, Impact has now been around approx 18 years so them using past stars like Hernandez, Crazy Steve, Havok (even though he 1st run was so short) etc. is much better and beneficial than using Sabu and Sandman in 2020.

Rhyno, RVD and even Shamrock actually work because they have a history in Impact. And it's that history which connects better with the long watching audience than X former WWE or ECW wrestler. Although, Johnny Swinger has been entertaining lol

Plus RVD and Rhino can still put on a decent match. Ken seems to have lost a step or 2 but brings some celebrity status. Gives him one last run before going into the hall of fame.

Swinger has been awesome. Rizats.

Impact has gotten publicity for having a woman as World Champion. There's no rule book ,that says it's a man's title or a weight limit.
Domestic violence is wrong, but Moose isn't anywhere close to being the only wrestler or on screen personality with embarrassing moments. He hasn't been arrested or in trouble, since he went to Impact.
Tell WWE to stop signing up all of the well known /semi-well known wrestlers and Impact wouldn't have to rely on ECW wrestlers.
Ken Shamrock(56) is one year older than Savio Vega(55), who wrestles for MLW. And PCO is 52 years old. Didn't ROH bring in Sandman(56) & Glacier(55) for one or more shows .NWA has half of the former Impact roster.
