Either he'll get eliminated due to DQ or countout or he's one of two survivors if Team Authority wins. For some reason I can't see him being the sole survivor on a team that has Seth Rollins on it.
Keep the aura around Rusev. Dude's been very well booked.
Ending Rusev's streak at Survivor Series would be terrible booking. But fortunately it's seriously doubtful it will go down that way. Either he ends up double dq'd/counted out opposite Sheamus, or survives as part of the winning team.
Based on Monday's Raw, it looks like SS is just a break from his ongoing feud with Sheamus, as would be proper. There is no reason to rush through what is a good power wrestler feud and give the ex-U.S. Champion less time than some of Rusev's recent opponents, like Show and Henry. Not when those people had less future upside, aren't as good as Sheamus in the ring, and weren't title holders when facing Rusev.
If creative screws something this simple up, then :eyeroll .
He should survive. I find it hard to believe that team Authority loses.
The teams appear to be Cena/Ziggler/Big Show/Sheamus/Ryback and Rollins/Kane/Henry/Rusev/Luke Harper. Cena is always, someway, somehow, the underdog so he's more than likely going to be at a numerical disadvantage for most of the match. I can see Ziggler, Big Show, Sheamus, Kane and Henry being eliminated in quick sucession, relatively soon into the match, to give time and focus on the guys who matter, so that leaves us with the impressive heel team of Seth Rollins/Rusev/Luke Harper and the Cena/Ryback pair, the story being they don't like each other and don't get along but must work together and trust each other if they want to stand a chance at winning the match. After a while Ryback gets pinned, Cena is left all alone against the three villains, goes into superman mode and pins Harper but then gets pinned in a sketchy and unfair way to move into a new feud with either Rollins or Rusev, so either way Rusev is probably safe.
This is all based on Orton not being part of the match of course, which appears to be very unlikely at this moment but you never know. He could come back to screw the Authority out of the win and begin a feud with Rollins, while at the same time putting the rumored Vince/Triple H storyline in motion for WM season but this makes almost too much sense.
I see team Authority losing because of Orton. Yeah he's filming a movie but he can fly in for a couple of hours to do it.
With that said, after last night, I see Rusev getting DQed. I don't think he will walk out because then that would be cheered and I don't think the WWE wants Rusev to start picking up cheers. Even if he gets pinned, it's a multiman match so it won't count as much than a singles match.
We know this will happen. It's logical WWE Studios would allow WWE employee Randy Orton a day off to appear in a WWE PPV.
Here's my play on this.... At Survivor Series Orton will tweener-turn on Team Authority and suffer a second mass beatdown, resulting in him taking another hiatus from the ring (to finish/complete his next box-office dud). He will come back in early 2015 in a rage, mowing down anyone in his path until finally meeting Rusev in WM31. During this match, Lana will join Team Randy and cause Rusev to suffer his first defeat.
As you heard on Monday, the Authority angle is REALLY about Daniel Bryan so I'm not sure it's a easy victory for Cena and his wack team. This could be another situation to spotlight Rollins and keep him strong.
I can see him being counted out or something. Like Steph-Lana get into some kind of argument and then Lana tells Rusev to just walk out and they both leave the match.
Do it undertaker 90 style, book him strong, have him hit his big power moves, eliminate 1 or even 2 people maybe, then he gets carried away battering someone and is counted out, or refuses to break the accolade and gets DQd
I can imagine him getting pinned from something like a World's Strongest Punch into an AA or Shellshock. Which will set up his next feud vs Ryback or Cena. Due to Ryback seeming like an ideal RTWM feud with Rusev. I imagine a one off match with Cena at TLC before the Cena vs Brock match at the Royal Rumble.
In an ideal world, Brock interferes in the TLC match, Rusev retains momentum, and we can go to the Rumble.
I won't be a clean loss so it won't really count unless The Authority end with Rollins and Rusev both still standing but i find it hard to believe they would book it like that.
Rusev will be counted out as him and Sheamus brawl outside, that's my guess.
As soon as he gets properly by an american i think you can kiss goodbye to this gimmick working as well as it currently does.
I really hope his streak does not end any time soon, I'm rather fond of Rusev and it would be a terrible waste. There are many ways he could lose without being pinned, as many have pointed out
I'm expecting him to get dq'ed or counted out. Although I wouldn't mind seeing Rollins, Rusev, and Harper standing tall as the PPV ends, being the sole survivors.
