Rumored Main Events for Royal Rumble and WM29

The Wrestling Observer reports that at the 8/6 edition of RAW, WWE bookers were contemplating having CM Punk drop the WWE Championship to John Cena at the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event, which would leave Cena to defend the title against The Rock at the 2013 Royal Rumble. Furthermore, they were also contemplating having Cena drop the title to Rock at that event and book Rock vs. Punk at WrestleMania 29 for the title.

Another scenario would include Punk retaining the title at SummerSlam and moving on to face Rock at the Royal Rumble. Rock would win the title and move on to defend it against Cena at WrestleMania 29 in a rematch from last year's event.

At last word, WWE bookers were not looking to have a Cena vs. Rock WrestleMania rematch, so it would appear that the first scenario would be more likely to happen, but we should strongly note that none of this has, in any way, been officially confirmed.
