You could argue in MMA she didn't have much competition at her level and couldn't keep up her success when competition caught up, but that just means she improved the sport even aside from the mainstream attention she drew.

WWE she's just not willing to put in the work and you can tell she's dragging down the division by being champion, this shouldn't be a hard question to which career is better.

She was a cultural icon in UFC. Saw her all over the place outside of the Octagon. Interviews, celebrity appearances, etc. Including her involvement in Wrestlemania pre-signing. She even had dudes believing she could take on B-tier male MMA fighters. She even beat up HHH. 🤣

She was a big deal for a brief time in WWE but it feels like her celebrity value has completely dissipated now.

I have to take into consideration the length of time she’s had to accomplish those goals within each venue. 5 years as a pro in MMA, plus amateur experience beforehand to help her prepare. Not to mention the many years of Judo and Olympic training. By comparison, Rousey has been active less than 2 years in WWE, without any real developmental training before jumping straight in.

When I think of MMA, the first name that comes to mind is Ronda Rousey. However, her accrued accolades in the squared circle through such a brief span of time in pro wrestling is astounding. And just think about what more Ronda could potentially accomplish after adding 3 more years to her wrestling career.

It’s incredibly close, but I have to say WWE.

UFC/MMA

She was one of the most well known women in sports entirely at one point, and was responsible for UFC and Dana White even taking women seriously and why you see them have fights all over the card.

Even her first WWE run couldn't hold a candle to that despite it being great.

MMA off course.
She has been more successful there and her downfall came when she changed coaches and tried to be more of a Boxer when her strength was Judo and got too arrogant and got knocked the fuck out and lost her mojo.

Her WWE Career started out ok, but It's pretty clear to me that the "project" is failed because she hasn´t gotten any better and it doesn´t seem like she wants to do the work to get better.

I was / am a mega Ronda mma fan. That really was an epic little era in sports. She was a pioneer. I still think you could argue she’s the greatest.

I was so upset when she got outboxed by Holms. It must have been ego / poor advice. But what was even worse was she didn’t learn from her first loss and tried to out box nunes. And got destroyed. Everyone loves a comeback / redemption arc. If she had have beaten nunes she would have been immortal.

Bigger draw in UFC. One of the few females to actually draw 1 million PPV buyrates and she did that on multiple occasions. WWE women wrestlers are miles below her UFC career. Rousey in UFC was like Rock vs Cena WM 28 level big. She was a cultural phenomenon at a certain time and broken geniune barriers for women in sports. This whole “women’s revolution” nonsense in WWE is all artificial and it only happened because of Rousey’s popularity in UFC and WWE wanted to capitalize on that new trend. WWE follows the trend these days, decades ago they were the trend.
