i see everyone/a lot of people on these forums ask for rep. Is there any sort of benefits for having a higher rep? whats its main role other than to make some look better possibly?

Don't tell the mods what to do, it's really not a good idea. NEVER tell admin what to do, seriously not a good idea.

Rep is pointless, but it's nice when people use it properly, to tell you you've made a good post or something. But without seeing why someone was repped, it's pretty worthless.
